Hi all
To respond to all the questions regarding the office visit:
1. My husband has been with this current company for more than 6 years.
2. It is an MNC and the company is head quartered in US. In bangalore office there are close to 300 emloyees.
3. There was no prior appointment or information/ call to the HR or anybody in the office. They just walked in post office hours, i think it was around 7 pm.
4. The HR manager was a senior guy in the system and was taken aback and told my husband, that he has heard/given references for many such verification, but this one from the immigration was very very intense, strong and rapid. They had actually verified all possible docs submitted to them. There were 3 people in the team, all foreigners.
Fortunately the HR manager who travels almost everyday was available in office that particular day (which was on 18th Dec 2013)!!!!!!!!
Overall, i would say it is better that we inform our office, atleast to the respective HRs that we have applied for the process and your immediate boss be informed about it, to save any embarrassment and mis- information. Also i would suggest put in a word to the security personnel and inform them about guiding these people to someone who can answer these officers clearly and precisely.
Good luck to all of us
regards
