hello all, like many of us in this group i am also awaiting the big "MR" but all this talk about back ground check is not adding up to me... may be i am the odd one out but it just doesnt convince me enough that NDVO has sent 3 people out with their sun shades on 8) 8) ...FBI style... asking the bidi smoking security guards "do you recogonize this man in the picture sir??? ... "

PS: I am not calling anybody a liar or anything :-* :-* This is my personal view and should help to calm down a few for sure. Anybody else feel the same feel free to speak up??

Anyways, guys sent my PCC today by DHL to NDVO (before getting MR).

i m 2nd october applicant and i have also no news regarding PER or DD encashment....have a hope that they will send all PERs together before christmas.

Mr.Faisal don't worry.you will get good news soon InshahAllah. actually DD encasement date can not be verified till we get any decision from CIO. so wait and keep your fingers crossed

could you please let me know what is your ECAS status?


Also how many days normally we received PP and RPRF request today after MR ( I know some members have got all in the same email)

Dear SIngh2901, No. It doesn't mean that Imm. officer is satisfied with the medicals. It is just acknowledgement of receipt of Medical test results. If your tests are all fine, you receive PPR or Visa whatever is pending. If its not fine you may have decision made DM status before PPR. Of if they need few more tests to decide further, they send you additional test requirements similar to MR.

We never know what our test results were.
PP request means it was all fine.

I think the PPR request is with medicals only, no seperate requests for passports, its with medical only

I also share same views.. How can NDVO expect security guard to recognize each and every employee.. I am sorry but, I do not trust such updates...

Applicants getting visas would be no more active in this thread and gradually this thread will fade away someday.

If we want to create any global group then we should have the numbers. We should also know the views of other applicants with regard to such group. If we have the numbers then we can certainly form one global group so that applicants can interact with each other even after landing in Canada.

As of now we have only 3 applicants who are in favour of such global group.

I cannot say whether somebody was right or wrong in sending their updates to the forum. But Section 12.4 of op06c-eng.pdf mentions as below. Refer http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op06c-eng.pdf

Interviews, site visits, and telephone checks have proven to be the most effective ways to detect
and combat fraud. The information gained through interviews where fraud is detected will help
officers to identify current trends and patterns, and refine their approach to fraud deterrence on an
ongoing basis.
Visa offices will be expected to undertake both targeted and random verifications to detect and
deter fraud. The volume and percentage of cases subject to verification should be high enough to
act as a meaningful disincentive to those who would engage in fraudulent practices.
Pursuant to A40, material misrepresentation is grounds for inadmissibility in its own right with a
prescribed two-year period of inadmissibility for those who are, directly or indirectly, involved in
such fraudulent practices.

At present nearly 4 members from this forum reported about the incident happened to them. All of them don't have to lie about these things becoz there is no benefit for them by doing so. Moreover they are willing to share and help the members in this forum. I request many of you guys please don't discourage them. Let them and others keep the members inform what is going around.

The visa officers can do the verification from the security guard of a small organization where the head count of the employees are not many. They will be seeing the staffs everyday. So NDVO people may expect that even the security staff should be able to identify the applicant.
