Hey,
We did send all the documents! And I am pretty sure we included all those documents.. I am not really sure why they are asking them again. Anyways, I have quite travel history which includes Canada. May be they want to check where I am now? :o

I did send SSIC certificate and got PER.
SSIC certificate should contain Applicant name, Father Name, Mother Name.

Hi Amit, My fear for him is that it does NOT have his fathers name just his initial.

It would depend upon case processing officer...no one can clearly say in this case whether applicant would go through or not.

Thanks harkiratg and apatel24......so if today's CAD is Rs 58.28, then i should make DD of INR 57114.

The thing is he used a consultant, this should be one of the things that they should have made sure and double checked for him. Thanks Amit, I too believe that it depends on the officer. Amit when are you planning to land?

Guys, pardon my ignorance.
I checked the CIC website to find the status of my application. My application status is "In progress" and when I checked the link i found the below statement.

"We received your application for permanent residence on May 10, 2013."

and i could see that medicals happening for so many people.
It's been almost 7 months and yet my application is not getting progressed.
Is it just me alone, or many others are in the similar status in the process.

Also, the next step is medicals or is there some there step in the middle.

Kindly advise.

Thanks.
Its not only you..some other members haven't got any reply..
General step is local visa office do the background check on documents which give you points to qualify. If they satisfy with that they will send medical request..
But I too have doubt on this..because lot of members (NDVO) have got MR as soon as their ECAS changed to 'we started processing your application'. I doubt whether they've done documents check or going to do after medical update...
