Trying to understand what does this reflect. For example, in case of London VO, does this mean that they have processed 14,000 FSW applications in year 2013 till Sept 30th ? or they have to complete 14,000 FSW applications under FSW 2013 program and the backlog. Actually the word “target” is creating confusion. Secondly the number 14,000 itself is very confusing.

LVO has the biggest plan for PR visas this year. All together they have to issue 14000 under FSW.

Congrats Vel_bg and civeng. :)

Do you need to carry your original passport at the Medical test centre?
@ Rawdah, did you get any response or information about the above as it concerns LVO? I was informed by a forumite earlier that a good Passport copy is what is needed by medical test centre with reference to LVO. Can anyone else with experience and Rawdah comment on this please?

Just a quick question, why the following message (We were not able to identify you using the information you provided) appears when I am trying to monitor my status under the On-Line Services (https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/dataaccessexception.do?app=). Do I miss something? Please advice. Appreciated.

I think you answered your queries indirectly but seems some part of your brain is in denial mode. Logically if they want to implement EOI in 2015, they would like to finish application backlog in 2014 rather than introducing new applicants.

Hope that helps.
Well I can't be sure of FSW 2014. But I can assure you the backlog till date won't be done with before 2017-18 as earlier proposed cos there is quite a backlog of 2010,11,12 and it shows in backlog figure of more than 1 lack files in system. So just for to start with EOI they have to finish backlog then EOI wont be in place before 2017 at earliest if they start working in full swing.

I think the 14,000 FSW applications mean total applications finalized including all Positive final Decisions (VISA ISSUED), all Negative Decisions (OUTRIGHT REFUSAL OR REJECTION) at all stages, and all Withdrawn applications (in persons) till sept 30th 2013 PLUS BACKLOG . Remember in the PER email received from CIC, they did mention that FINAL DECISION LIES WITH THE PROCESSING OFFICE. Here is the quote "However a final decision on your eligibility to be selected as a federal skilled worker will be made by a visa office". So, that number would definitely increase in the course of time as applications are being processed.

It is just a plan for 2013, not processed applications.

I don't see a point of these double eligibility checks.
It took 6 month of work time of few dozens clerks at CIC in Sidney, to do eligibility check for 2336 applications up to date.

And now they are going to do the same work at local visas offices again, although this year the process is very formal and straightforward.

As per Jiggzy GCSM notes they love to do meaningless work, and move staff around.

sometimes u have to wait for a week or little more before anything appears...this happened with some forum members here
don't worry u got the PER email, that's the important thing :)...this ECAS status will eventually appear
as per the member updates here...no extra line was added to this ECAS status except at MR or if rejected- God forbids

Guys,

I have applied through consultant. Does that mean that only the consultant can request my GCMS notes?
Can I request them myself and give the address of one of my friends in Canada who can received them?

My guess is that CIC took 6 months to do first level of screening where they dealt with thousands(probably hundred of thousands!!) applications and selected 2336 applications for various visa offices. This in itself is a big task for sure and definitely needs time.

Next @VOs they will again scrutinize our applications based on the first round of findings and few extra checks. Here certain VOs like NDVO are known for doing things and interpreting rules in their own ways!! They can and most certainly will ask any document that they wish to if at all they feel a need of it. This in all puts extra delay in our application. Further doing bckgrnd checks specially security check is always a time consuming job in India. Thankfully the educational check process has been streamlined and now they only check the authenticity of your ECA report. Hopefully in 4-5 months of time after our AOR NDVO shall be able to put things to a logical conclusion for most of the completed files. Any corner case can take extra time depending on what the real issue might be!! The CIC website itself says 19 weeks of time for India and few other VOs as processing time :)

You can call a Panel physician approved by CIC in your region to find out whether they will be requiring original passport or not.

List of panel physician with their contact numbers

http://www.cic.gc.ca/pp-md/pp-list.aspx

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp

I called my Panel physician in Riyadh, they told me that only Passport copy is required. :)
