Do you think its an issue if Mother's current name is mentioned instead of maiden name? I would correct and update them though once and if i get a uci #

HOLD ON CHOKOY.......I DO NOT think that persons who sent the for that was updated BEFORE the 17th will be rejected, in a similar way to Marta's unfortunate package return. If that were the case then ALL applications sent to CIC from the 6th to the 17th or 18th and probably the 19th would be rejected, based on an oversight at CIC. This is not practical.Once persons have the updates schedule 3 form and checklist update late evening on the 4th then all should be ok.

Has any one got a confirmation on DD enchased... Its really surprising that its more than 3 weeks are no update on CIC regardin NOC application received.. Any insight about this?

TO ALL... Let me clarify this once and for all.

The CIC doesn't know what your mother's name was at her birth or is it now after marriage. Listen to this very carefully. CIC works on infirmation that can be verified on documentation and not by wordly-logic. Your Mother's Name at Birth will be what is mentioned on your passport because they crosscheck with the information on passport. So stop worrying on that. The family information is checked against what is mentioned on the passport because passport is the prime foremost document presented at any port of entry. They will not check name change affidavits or other things BUT passport.

CORRECTION: My agent was able to let me sign SCHEDULE 3 form of 06-2012 version. Too bad.

Sorry read this post after I posted my earlier reply. If you have signed the old version of Schedule 3, it should not be a problem. Anyway we cant do any thing now. So lets wait & watch. This is the right time to watch a soothing movie; healthy time with family & friends; meditation; visiting theme parks; whatever makes you happy..

hello friends... just want to ask if my wife needs police certificate from Abroad. she worked last 2004 for 6months but im the principal applicant. Just want to know so that we can request it earlier. thnx in advance

yes your wife will have to provide pcc for home country and if she stayed abroad for 6months or more

Yes, if anyone (main applicant or dependents spend more than 6 months abroad then PCC is required from that country.

I too heard same from my consultant - may be they just want us to shut up & stop bugging them.. lol .. they too are just waiting to see if application hits bulls eye after firing the shot..

Following is the reply from my lawyer.
"I would not expect to hear from the visa office for another month or so."


Also can someone update my application received date to 8th May 2013. Lawyers confirm that it was received on morning of 8th.

I just received Canada's visitor visa (Multiple entries valid till May 15 2015) and I got the UCI number. Wondering if I need to get my application updated. Most likely i will wait for approval of my application and then request lawyer to get it updated. Any suggestion in this case?

My consultant has cross verified the file and seems he has sent updated forms. Fingers crossed.. Smiley

I am feeling nervous & bit excited at same time that atleast CIC has started working on applications. Of course sorry to hear Marta's sad news.. She must reply.

Guys, can you please suggest what will be the next step from CIC (in case application pass first stage). I mean how/what applicant will hear from CIC etc etc..

Oh yes, I have put request to my bank to check if DD is charged & I will get reply on Monday morning IST. I will post the results anyway.

same thing happened to me. i immediately checked with my agent if the submitted forms are updated and they immediately sent me the scan copy of my docs.thank goodness, it was correct. i was unaware of all these things 'forms issue' that i did not care about the latest/correct version of forms to be used. it's just now that i realized how meticulous the CIC is when i learned about Martha's case.

i believe we have the same consultant because the forms on their website are also outdated
