Marta's rejection was caused at the Stage 1 where they check completeness + correctness of the forms. At this stage, they won't be verifying names, cross checking the documents that have been provided. They will only check IF the documents are complete as mentioned + ticked on the checklist i.e., copies for copies, originals for originals and certified true copies for the translation and their originals, and all the correct forms are added, signed and dated and fields are filled regardless of what is filled or not.

At stage 2, the officers will calculate the points and stuff that has been provided and will evaluate job duties.

Rest of the things will be done, verified, corssed check at Local VO. They may demand further clarification or straight away reject on missleading information.

IF I am wrong, please correct me too

The forms that i submitted n the ones shown on CIC website have only cosmetic differences (alignments to be precised)....rest all the fields are similar...worried...will this cause any prblem? :-\ :-\

As I analyze the case where Martha's application was returned, CIC is saying in their letter (to her) that the main reason of her app return was the use of old Schedule 3.
Schedule 3 was up-dated on May 04 at around 2:00am Pakistan time. But by that time IMM0008 was having the footer date of 2012 (in fact I also used IMM0008 with footer date of 2012, but used latest versions of rest of the forms including Schedule 3). Apparently it seems that Martha filled the application kit prior to May 04 - nevertheless closer to that date. Prior to May 04, Schedule 3 was not updated and IMM0008 was also having 2012 footer date - so she must have used IMM0008 with 2012 footer date.
Now that I see towards her letter of rejection that CIC sent to her, they're saying that it is basically the use of old version of Schedule 3 that is pushing her application to be returned - this means for CIC IMM0008 with footer date of 2012 is not a problem and they will accept that one.

What other people say about it?

OMG!! I actually left Surname blank for my spouse in Schedule A since he doesn't have a surname stated in the passport instead of writing not applicable but I mentioned it correctly in the generic form...DAMN!!

They are gona return my application too

All the energy and time wasted!!

If Marta used IMM0008 (12-2012) and CIC didn't say anything about it, then all I can say is there's no one as unprofessional as they are. We should immediately cease to discuss all this because at the end we know there is no set pattern but uncertainty and all at the discretion of the CIC officers. PERIOD.

wrong. Schedule 3 was updated much latter on the 5th.

Seriously. People need to chill. I can see people panicking like crazy. We need to chill guys.
Those who already sent their application, nothing can be done till CIC replies so take it easy. Dont think too much. Whats done is done.

Personally I am waiting for either CC charge or app return. rest is all a moo point.

Hi Aditya, you are right. I sent through UPS from New York.
