Earlier I was panicking but now I realize what's done is done. Just have to wait and get feedback and act accordingly.

Those who already sent their application, nothing can be done till CIC replies so take it easy. Dont think too much. Whats done is done.

Personally I am waiting for either CC charge or app return. rest is all a moo point.

I still haven't sent my application due to IELTS results that became available only today. I'm totally chill about it. I can't speed it up. Anyway, taking my time might help avoiding some of the mistakes that all you guys are mentioning here.

I agree - what is done is done and nothing else can be done in a different way. Let's wait.

calm down...if you have already sent your application, there is really nothing you can do to change your situation. You have to patiently wait.

Cross- Checked with copies of what i sent to CIC with current forms on ther websites...seems ok...except for certain cosmetic differences which i think can be eliminated during a manual chek for completeness... *Optimism*

My consultant has cross verified the file and seems he has sent updated forms. Fingers crossed..

I am feeling nervous & bit excited at same time that atleast CIC has started working on applications. Of course sorry to hear Marta's sad news.. She must reply.

Guys, can you please suggest what will be the next step from CIC (in case application pass first stage). I mean how/what applicant will hear from CIC etc etc..

Oh yes, I have put request to my bank to check if DD is charged & I will get reply on Monday morning IST. I will post the results anyway.

I think the following members would get some response from cic now as their applications were received on 7th and 8th, May.

Click on the user that you wanted to send PM to, once his/her profile is open, Click Send Private Message to this user. Alternately, go to Inbox, click new message, enter username of the person, or click Find User to find and then send PM.

What stage rejection can this be :
" IN the background declaration form, I over looked that it has to be Mother name at her birth and i filled her present name and not maiden name. "

Or can this sail through , CIC querying about it later on?

You better do the translation, I am from Croatia and I have translated both national ID and my passport. I did it that way because I sent notarized copies and when you have notary statement on your national language it shoul be accompanyed with certified english translation. I'm not saying it's mandatory but I didn't want to gamble with it..

BTW, I'm not sure what you meant about the notary statement in national language - did you mean the statement from the certified translator that he/she is actually certified etc?
I actually got that statement (affidavit) in English from my translator(s).
