I've been reading this thread for a while and I'm a 2147 applicant. However, based on what I read I believe I'm very late in my submission and I will have missed the CAP of 300 already. My application package was delivered to Sydney, Nova Scotia on 18 Sept 2013. Just like to seek a second opinion if there's any chance that I'll be in the CAP of 300.

i called CIC just now...upon entering my UCI the IVR says that the UCI entered is not valid....what may be the reason for this???

Dear Friends,
I have applied again and I hope I can still make it. I believe it is hard but a man should always believe in his chances.
You know this is the 3rd time I apply for immigration and I wish that the 3rd time is the charm.

i called CIC just now...upon entering my UCI the IVR says that the UCI entered is not valid....what may be the reason for this???

wait for few days, after asign of UCI it tooks some days to check status online (till it shows not valid)

The credentialing that FSWP candidates have done from WES OR OTHER THREE authorised agencies is just for the sake of your immigration purpose only. For regulated professions in canada one has again apply for education evaluation from their respective agency/board/council/ association responsible for licensure. If u pass that assesment then only your eligible to sit for equivalency examination. The next stage is to pass qualifying exam. Lastly your jurisprudence exam.
Apart from all these exams in one of any stage you will require to clear your IELTS exam with min mandatory score.
After all these things you will require professional liability insurance and then by paying fees you will get license to practice in your profession.

this sound very difficult and complex...can i start this process from India only, before getting my PR?..or it can only be started after getting PR and reaching in Canada?....can you share some thread or links regarding this process...like this forum which has all the information about immigration...please suggest some for this education evaluation,exam and license...

Ministerial Instructions (MI1)*: Federal Skilled Workers

Under the first set of Ministerial Instructions (MI1) issued on November 29, 2008, CIC began to limit the type of Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) applications received to the following categories:
a) applicants with an arranged employment offer;
b) applicants with work experience in one of 38 in-demand occupations; and
c) applicants in Canada as students or temporary foreign workers.

MI1 was applied retroactively to FSW applications received on or after February 27, 2008. Read the full text of MI1.
*Note that MI1 was superseded by MI2’s issuance (see below)*

Ministerial Instructions (MI2)*: Federal Skilled Workers, Canadian Experience Class, Immigrant Investor Program

As part of the second set of Ministerial Instructions (MI2) released on June 26, 2010, CIC capped the number of new FSW applications to be processed at 20,000, not including applications with an arranged employment offer. The Department also responded to evolving labour market trends by issuing an updated FSW eligibility list of 29 occupations, each capped at no more than 1,000 applications. In addition, FSW and Canadian Experience Class principal applicants became subject to mandatory language testing. It introduced an annual cap of 700 for new applications made under the federal Immigrant Investor Program, and also included a temporary moratorium on Entrepreneur applications while that program undergoes review.
