30 July 2013 (2.5months) : Request for Medicals & Payment of RPRF
8 Aug 2013: Medicals done, Right of Permanent Residence Fees Paid.
20 Aug 2013 (3 months) : Request for passports.
29 Aug 2013: email received, file finalised, visas ready for collection (114 days from application submission)
30 Aug 2013: Passports collected.
01 Dec 2013: Landing Planned.

It seems NDVO is in top gear in sending MR and DM for previous year applicants...The last I count around 15 DM in last 2-3 days from the forum members (Old application forum timeline)..

This is great news that NDVO is working and strike does not matter much

I just read your post , you can go ahead with second option that is student visa, but again it requires money for the same and better option for single.
I personally believe you should wait for 2014 because there will be EOI system where in canada will process application based on state requirement.canada is in actually demand of skilled and semi skilled people for all states. Currently most of immigrants prefer to settle in Toronto , they want to fulfil the requirement of labour for all states so in next year ,in EOI there will be state related occupation and requirements , just like Australia.
Therefore , there is huge chnace for applicant to get visa and within time, I believe it would be conditional visa meaning after getting visa , applicant has to live in specific [in which he/she preferred while applying] state for two,three years.

In summary, you will have good chances to get visa in 2014. Therefore , wait till 2014 , if they delay in implementing EOI system by next year then you cn go ahead with student visa as plan B.

Btw,where are you in UK?

I do not wish to live in UK any longer! I love Canada!

According to last update, Pretoria Visa Office process time is 21 months!!
So, is this showing the new processing time for the program this year or is it just a lucky application?!

Because it seems like their status does not change. And there are applicants who submitted later, but have received their PER already.

The 1st 2 applicants are that way since long. No activity whatsoever. Wonder where they are?

Ap_lovelife: I want to leave the UK too, so I am also thinking of going the student route. But fsw2174 pointed out that we still may have a chance next year with this EOI process. I am going to wait until next year before I make haste decisions or at least until I get my application back!!

My cousin is pharmacist and There isn't occupation in fsw2013 , he was keen to go with student visa this year,he is married , I advise him to wait till may 2014 , if no EOI system or pharmaceuticals occupation in fsw2014 then I have suggested him to go for student visa. In summary , time goes so fast , in 2014 you will think how 2013 went away!! So better to wait and get visa peacefully , student visa option and invester visa option will be there in all country as it support economy of the country!!! So they always welcome you!! So lets keep it as second option!!

Thanks fsw2174 for the info. I personally prefer to go as fsw visa than student visa, so I can work full time. You're right, 2014 will come soon before you know it, so lets see what happens..Immigration is almost like a gamble, you never know what will happen.
