:( that's too bad.... i don't have enough money to apply for PNP and i can't apply for CEC because i have been in canada for 5 months... do you think 2147 will be closed by two months too?
The figures are yet to come in for the cap from CIC, but I strongly believe that it's already overflowing. On what visa are you? For FSWP, you'll have to show around $11k for 1 person as a bank balance too.

IF you can score a job, and that'd be good for you.

I had the same thought, not that topic again! BUT he has a point. Totally agree that both places require the other document to be certified ...

Oh well, can't do anything, just wait and watch :( I go over my application in my head every day since I applied, to be honest, this is now the number 1 reason I fear mine returned. Didn't get the right thing certified maybe, don't even want to think which directions I adhered to :-\

Anyway, personally the only document that I got translated was my marriage certificate and I pray and hope that they don't return the application due to the incorrect certification. Wife's passport mentions me as the husband, logic should prevail!

Oh well, oh well, oh well :-X

lol. You'll soon learn the art of getting over it ;) IF you have notarized the translation AND the marriage certificate. You are good. IF you have notarized the translation only, than that's fine too. Hope that doesn't come in your progress towards PR. They might ask for original / notarized copy next time.

dont depend what others' think about the cap ... just apply.... no one will bite you if your application reaches after the cap filled, right?

Hahaha, well I remember I placed them according to the checklist and remember odd things like placing page 7 (all barcodes) of main form on top and then the checklist and then the main form that was now page 1-6 and then 8 (one or two barcodes with signature). Don't remember the exact sequence after that but remember the docs and how I had to strive to gather them all in time.

As for the translation, I did get both certified a long time ago, but due to requiring the certified translation every couple of years here in Dubai (for family visa sponsorship), I could not submit that (there are notary, exit ministry, ministry of foreign affairs, UAE embassy in home country and what not stamps on it) and just placed a copy. Couldn't possibly arrange all those stamps on a new translation, nor do they do Urdu to English legal translation in Dubai. Probably could have arranged them but didn't identify if that was required .... I just hope it clears the first step and then I could submit whatever original they require. Goodluck to everyone else to in these small issues that may affect an application. Anyway, anyway, anyway :(

As for letting go, I am hooked onto this forum and visit various threads since I applied. Prior to applying, I used a few sources for my information but post application, this is all I visit. Been around the same time since I sent my application, 3.5 weeks and that has not been enough for me to get over it and let it go :s The day there was a false alarm about CC charged, my heartbeat got raised every time I got a text (my CC company sends a text for every charge) and I don't receive a lot of texts apart from these and promotional ones. Then the weekend came and now I don't respond to texts like that :p

Anyway, thanks to you guys for putting in the effort and getting all this together. This is like my virtual set of friends and acquaintances, though some questions get repetitive on here and start to irritate, I still love all the contributions and exchanges. Lets see how long this obsession lasts, I'm not known to let go of things very easily hahaha!

Finally, something I heard that CIC has started responding to your applications, to the ones who they feel not suitable and have rejected...Did someone of you had any positive or negative responses from CIC ???

From a Immigration Consultant in Canada who was contacted by a candidate whose application was rejected on 31st May 2013..Therefore, I asked this question ..because many in this forum have sent their application well within few days when the quota opened.. I am yet to start my application though ..But I still feel the quota might not get over before July end...

Please elaborate on the source if you can, even more! What NOC? Which Immigration Consultant in Canada?
Highly unlikely to be true!!!

Oh ok, but I'd take everything said by a lawyer/consultant with a pinch of salt. Especially at this point in time, when those words suggest that the caps are not filled and that they should be hired.
