Hello Everybody,

I am new to this forum and I was amused reading all the information you guys put in here. It was quite an informative experience.
I applied long time ago but till now I did not receive any feedback from CIC.
I tried calling but the lady only asked for my email and she sent me an email titled "REQUEST FOR INFORMATION", but nothing till now.
Honestly I am becoming more frustrated everyday and the wait is becoming unbearable.

can you guys advise me on my situation? I am really afraid that they rejected me and I did not receive their rejection (the idea of holding on false hopes is destructive mentally and physically :'().

Thats why i wrote earlier, That I am not sure of this year As I did not get NER, I did get PER fortunately enough so cant calculate how much points they have awarded.

Lets take an example just out of my curiosity and knowledge ( please enlighten me)
A worked for 3 years 1 month
A then worked for 2 years 10 months
In total he has worked 5 years 11 months .
What points will CIC award, ( in my ample knowledge it should be 13 points )

Another example.
A worked for 1 year 8 months ,
A then worked for another organisation for 2 years 6 months
So in total it is 3 years and he should get 11 points ( although it is 4 years 2 months ) Please enlighten me on this as I am very much naive.

Hi Prince. Appreciate your experience and advise. But it is evident from the current FSWP 2013 that they are considering MONTHS as well. This is evident from the points being alloted for work experience:

1 year - 9 points
2-3 years - 11 points
4-5 years - 13 points
6 years and above - 15 points

BC has no connection with being old or new provided:

01. It is genuine and issued by a competent authority tasked with issuing such documents. (I would assume the more old, the better and sends positive signal to CIC officer. Maybe he might not even request verification thinking it is so old on an old paper. Just guessing and joking )

02. It is complete (i.e. mentions atleast your name, parents names, DOB, place of birth)

03. If it is in another language other than English and /or French, a notarised original translation accompanies the copy of the BC.

Try calling again, until a nicer lady gives you some information over the phone ...

Congrats every one for securing PER ;D
Just a calculation abt application caps from my point of view. If there are 4nocs that are gonna t filled completely out of 24 nocs.
5000-1200=3800
3800/20= 190 applications for individual noc.

But some NOCs will not reach 50 applicants in one year.

Hi Brother

EXAMPLE 1 - 13 Points (Since experience is more than 5 years but less than 6 years)

EXAMPLE 2 - 13 Points (Since experience is between 4 and 5 years)

Why else would they say (2-3 years), (4-5 years) etc..

I know previously points were as follows:

1 year - 15 points
2 year - 17 points
3 year - 19 points
4 years & more - 21 points

So, previously CIO officer had to count someone's experience of say for eg. 1 year 11 months as only 1 year.

Infact, lets see more feedback coming from other members on this forum

am writing with concern to Background Declaration application (IMM 5669) which belong to my Spouse where I forgot to send it with the file which had been received on (12-07-2013) therefore, I re send it only after 2 weeks of submitting the file (received on 26-07-2013).

I had mentioned on the envelope this message: (REVISED FORMS TO BE ADDED TO MY FILE WHICH WAS SENT PREVIOUSLY AND WAS RECEIVED BY CIC ON FRIDAY ,12TH JULY,2013)

what is the action that would be done by CIC against my file?
I am waiting for your reply and advice ....Thnx

Mate,

I have no idea as to what points I have been assigned as I have the PER now.
Only when they reject they send an explanation.
So cant comment what they have counted and what they have omitted.

do they mention UCI number on rejected file mean do the mention UCI on rejection letter of explaination
