A. Following are the Call Center numbers of CIC. Please follow IVR accordingly.

NOTE: It is not necessary that you will get information about Federal Skilled Worker Program. Do not call them before time [8 ~ 10 weeks], they will NOT be able to help you!

What is IVR and ECAS? I remember seeing them but forget the meaning,and cannot access the FAQ docin the forum for now..can you please share? Thanks a lot!

IVR is Voice Response in their call center telephone that interactively guided u to the desired person. When u hear the msg asking u to enter UCI at the last stage before redirecting to agent, , u should enter ur UCI and if ur DD is encashed, u'll hear a msg saying "we've received ur App on ....." else it'll direct to an agent. ... According to the poster who initially posted this method, if u hear the msg means ur payment has been surely encashed.

Can u please tell me the number through which u contacted CIC?? I tried calling them on the no +16139444000 but they repleied me twice saying they dont have any information regarding FSW applicants...

Yes,I called same number and initially got same info,I insisted it has been more than 9 weeks since my application was recieved, nothing was updated by cic after sending several emails, so I asked the agent to try to check in the system see if my info was there or give me my client I'd number so that I can check my application status online in future...

she will ask you for your name , DOB, etc and giv you the ID

there is no way u can call nova scotia.. but yes call at call center at
0016139444000
select 1 for English
then 1 for foreign affair
2 for immigration
call is being transferred to cic
then 1 for English
2 for status
1 for PR
8 digit client id number will be asked
listen the request 3 times without entering client id number
then the call is automatically transferred to an agent
agent will ask information about last name, first name, date of birth, application received date, email id etc
then agent will check in the system and shall give feedback

I called these guys. However, they don't have any information regarding FSW Program.
I got my UCI number as I have already visited canada.

This time I really got a nice lady to help me and she even took an additional step to trace me thru passport number but still she can't find any information. So she said it seems your file has not been opened yet. So guys relax if you belong to 2174 they are closely monitoring the cap numbers and then only opening files as required. On the other hand, the other NOCs I have seen they got their client id even if their application is been accepted on June 12th. Please let us know if anybody in 2174 got his client id and belong to June applications. Thanks...
