Hi all
sorry I was on site visit last week so not much in contact to all.
hay three star the ESZB is right instead of brith certificate notarized details may not do. you can try with 10th marksheet or school leaving certi. (as one of applicant get through with it you can find in fsw 2013 forum) but if you can get birth certi. form regular authority is best. and i feel it dont take much of time.
in your birth certificate you need birth date, place, parents name and your name (it should be in english)

Ok lets try to sort this out. I am no lawyer but to the best of my knowledge, technically a notarized declaration of date of birth on a stamp paper is not a birth certificate.
Now perhaps if you can account for the reason why you went for a notarized stamp paper rather than the official birth certificate issued by the local government authority, I may be able to help you.

P.S. Again u got it wrong! :o eszb it is! :-X

No worries mate. Hope you will add your info soon. Regarding my location perhaps my VO can give u an idea plus the fact that I am across the border to Vats. ;)

Since when is London across the border to New Delhi... lol

Well, yes sir I stand corrected, but the premise that VO gives us the idea of our location is a lil flawed then dont u think??? ;D

@ESZB

I have applied through an attorney, how can I check my status through ECAS? I have a GC key login from a previous visit visa application, would that work? Also can you provide me with the link for ECAS?thanks

True, but not unless the "across the border" hint is focused upon. :P

Perhaps it a bit too early to be checking status on the ecas. I do not have any experience with a GC key login so cant say much here. However if you are anxious.... do give it a try if you suspect you have a lock pick... ;)

If GC key doesn't work then I'm afraid you will have to call CIC at 001-613-944-4000 then the following sequence 1 - 1 - 2 - 1 - 2 -1 (hear full instructions before choosing an option). At the end you will be asked 3 times to enter your UCI ... if you dont you'll be connected to someone there. Then you can try and request them to give you your UCI. It usually requires more than one attempts.

Anyway here's the ecas link:

https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do?app=

Good luck. :)

Thank you ever so much ESZB, I'll certainly give it a try! I have asked my attorney but he is being lazy and has told me to wait for AOR which takes about 1-5 months to be dispatched(provided my application gets accepted..fingers crossed) ??? I have also asked him to check if the DD has been encashed but he is not being of great help >:(

Also I have got a UCI number from an old visit visa application, I have tried it but it doesnot seem to work. Do you reckon it would be a new UCI number or CIC would manage to link my old account?thanks
