We're outland so we have no Canadian MP. So everyone is inland, gotcha.

Not necessarily. You could contact the MP of the area where you would be moving to, in Canada...

Most sponsors live in Canada, some process inland while others process outland.

No, we applied outland but I am in Canada.

You could contact the MP where you are planning to live.

No,
The Canadian partner of you and your spouse, would have a Canadian MP that takes care of the area he/she lives in.

We are outland too, but I am Canadian so I contacted the MP that takes care of the area that I live in.

Sorry when I say Outland, I mean living Outland. The sponsor has lived in the UK for almost a decade.

Your Canadian sponsor has an MP.

Would it be where they used to live? Will put down as their landing address or where they will eventually live for any length of time?

Go with what costaudjoe commented. Your sponsor never stopped being Canadian so if they can get no representation from Consular Services then contact the MP in either the area where you plan to live or where your sponsor grew up.

Thanks everyone :)

Oh okay, Does your sponsor have parents living in Canada, they can contact the MP that takes care of where your parents live as well.

When we contacted all they asked for was an address to prove I was in there riding, but other than that they helped without any further questions of where I was living and such.

I was living in BC for 4 years than in Mexico for 1 year. So when I contacted my MP I had been out of his riding for 5 years, but since my parents still lived there I just used there address without any problems.
:)

Bad news to follow is CBSA goes next. I'm not sure if and or when their CA expires(ed). That means lots of hold ups for landing immigrants.

Worst. Government. Ever.

If their goal is to bring parity between government and the private sector why don't they raise the minimum wage?

The cost of living keeps going up. The purchasing power of the dollar goes down and now wages/benefits get cut for what? Its a race to the bottom.

Agreed. Everyone should remember this come next election.

Yeah, salaries have been generally flat in the private sector for decades while prices have risen. Yet Harper brings in more legislation to help keep private sector salaries low and now is forcing down public sector to match. It would be better to set new standard levels of income and have public and private sectors at least meet that basic level at a minimum. I notice they aren't too keen to shave their own paycheques, expenses or perks. And the Conservative senators Harper appointed are showing just what the "Action Plan" really entails...
