For PNP applicants - questions about layoffs & notifying province

Need a new WP.
If their PR application is in process and they are laid off, and then they secure a new job offer within three months (which is fairly quick), does that mean they would still have to wait an additional four months(work permit processing time) before obtaining a new closed work permit to work for the new employer?

This would create a seven-month gap in their employment.

I’m concerned about how their PR application could be affected during this seven-month gap, and whether it might be canceled. (seems very likely)

They wouldn’t be able to work. Yes this could have an impact on the PNP process but up to each province

What do you guys think Is there any chance to get PR in this situation? whereas the company lays off employees without any notice.
Hi Sandeep I have a similar situation . What’s your status and if we don’t get a new work permit do we apply for visitor visa ?

What stage are you at and what stream did you apply under? I'm in somewhat of the same situation with the only difference being i have an open work permit.
