Share ko lang pagdating nyo ng Canada first thing to do is to apply for your SIN# then dont forget to apply for Alberta Health as dependant ng mga husband nyo. Kasi yung Health Card it takes around 20 days bago nyo ma receive yung card. Paper lang yun kasi supplement lang tayo. Very important yun para if ever na kelangan natin mag pa check up o mga kids eh free tayo at covered ng Alberta Health.

Sis, notarized LMO yung binigay daw ni hubby sakin during my application. Ngayon kasi medyo may kaibahan na din kasi forms natin. So hindi ko alam kung nagchange ba yung required documents. LMO and WP ba hawak mo? Pareho tayo ng checklist yun ang wala sa folder ko pero ginamit ko yung checklist na yun. Nga lang, may LMO akong pinadala eh. Pero based on that check list e di ibigay mo yung letter na may barcode at file number. Usually sinesend yun sa nag-apply ng LMO diba? Response ng Service Centre/ HRSDC.

Ynoweh, may tanong pala ako. Online ka ba nagfile ng work permit extension or paper? Kasi sa online application, job offer letter ang hinihingi. Pareho lang ba yun sa contract? Tapos isa pang tanong, pano isesend yung receipt ng courier? Pano magpapaliwanag na nagfile na ng LMO? Kasi sa online application tinanong lang naman kung nagfile na ba ang employer. Wala na syang hiningi na proof. Salamat!!

Dear, as to your concern, sorry kasi paper application si hubby and his brother nun nagapply WP extension. By the way, sa online application, nun may question na if may LMO na, is it answerable by yes or no lang? Or may text box na pwede mo ilagay explanation? If there is, explain mo nalang na nagsend na ng LMO application and indicate the tracking number ng courier and the date it was sent. Indicate also that you will phone them once na-receive yun positive LMO para mabigay mo confirmation number.

Or: nabanggit ni oxie na nagattach sya ng contract/job offer letter.. Pag pwede mag-upload ng attachement, you can upload the scanned document (proof of delivery), you can either scan and upload the mail courier receipt if sent thru mail or fax transmittal form if finaxed ang application. Hingi ka nlang sa employer ng proof of LMO application.

Pag totally walang proof and there are no other means for you to upload it, I think explanation will suffice kasi afterall, before nila ma-process ang application mo, nandyan na LMO mo and itatawag mo na sa kanila…

hmm... walang hiningi na LMO samin. Nag-ask lang kung nag-apply na ang employer. So I guess we'll just answer yes kasi nag apply naman kaya lang nasa process pa. Ano ang mas mabilis? paper or online? How long bago nagrespond sa inyo?

Ano yung dadating sa inyo to acknowledge your application? Will they tell us formally that we are legally on "implied" status?

Implied status (Replaces OB 092 – January 15, 2009)

A temporary resident must apply to extend their period of authorized stay before it ends. If they
have done so, their period of authorized stay as a temporary resident is extended by law until a
decision is made [R183(5)]. Such a person is considered to have implied status as a temporary
resident during that period.

If a temporary resident applies for renewal of their work or study permit and their permit expires
before a decision is made, R186(u) and R189 (the right to continue working or studying under the
same conditions pending a determination of their application for renewal) apply only as long as
the person remains in Canada.

This applies in your case. Sis, may confirmation page sa online application? You need to print it, kc that document alone is the proof of your application for WP extension prior to the expiry of your existing WP. Maveverify naman nila yun, and nobody will question that… No worries na once nakapagapply na kayo. Good luck. God bless.

Hello sis ailooney and oxie! kumusta kayo? maki-reply ako sa query ni ailooney.

online application is faster than paper application, the processing takes only 76 days from receipt of your application. As of October 19, those applications received on July 29, 2011 are now on process. But for the paper, it's 121 days! They are currently working on applications received on June 14. So good thing you applied online. I suggest you check on the processing times at CIC website: see link and refresh it every Thursday in Canada... http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/temp.asp

Regarding the implied status, you will not receive any document explaining or proving such, my hubby did not receive any but from what I understand, for as long as you take hold of the document that you indeed applied for extension, then you're very much safe and automatically falls under implied status once your WP expires and until the decision on your WP application is made. The next document that you will receive from Case Processing Center will be the renewed WP.

We'll pray that your LMO arrives prior to the decision on your extension of WP online application so that you'll not encounter restoration issues. Good luck and God bless us all.

Yes sis, may ganung question nga. I remember we answered Yes tapos un, may option to upload ung LMO. pero kc in case wala pa ung doc na hinihingi nila, may number of days ka from the time you submitted the application para maiupload mo ung document.

So far wala pa rin silang response aside from dun sa acknowledgement na natransmit na ung application. Waiting pa rin kami for his new permit. Sana nga dumating na next week or first week of Nov.
