For PINOYS: Spousal open work permit to canada.. Share tayo

Hi everybody,

Newbie po ako sa forum d2, ask ko lng sana kc sabay sabay kami nagpass ng husband ko- TWP, then ako- SOWP then our daughter- TRV ng applications sa Embassy. They have received our applications, Jan. 07, 2013 then nung Feb. 18, 2013 nakareceive ung husband ko ng AOR/MR pero kami ng daughter ko wala pa. Do we still need to wait for our MR/AOR bgo kaming lahat mgpamedical or mauuna na ba dapat ung husband ko? Wala pa kasi ako nbbsa d2 sa forum na sama sama nag apply ung husband, wife and daughter. Hope somebody can answer my query. Di ko din kasi alam if kelangan ko na ba mginquire sa embassy and ask the staus of my application?

Mejo ngworry lang ako kc di sabay sabay dumating. Meron kasi kami representative kaya hindi ko alam kung nreceive na nila ung AOR/MR thru email. Pero yungsa husband ko, pinadala sa house ung original docs tpos ung sa kanya lang. Anyways, thanks for the reply. Glad meron dn pla na pareho ng case sa amin na sabay sabay ngapply

Hi po sa lahat..im a newbie po dito sa forum..we are planning din po n mgapply,still waiting po for my husband work permit as supervisor under FCA..Sa Calgary po siya..and he's planning to take a vacation dis april hopefully po by that time may work permit na po ciya..ng back read na po ako and a long way to go.. pero so grateful po sa forum na to para po sa aming nangangarap maksama ang aming mhal sa buhay..for sure mdami pa ang tulad ko na from zero ang knowledge kung paano maguumpisa pero sa tulong ng forum na to andami nming matutunan and sa case ko im almost ready to take that shot..mg apply.. thank you and God bless po..

You will only receive the temporary resident visa (worker) attached to your passport and it has validity in there usually 2 years. The validity of it signifies that within that 2 years you must enter Canada and obtain your work permit at the port of entry.

Hi Sis. temporarily pala naka deactivate ung FB ko, if ever, PM mo na lang ako dito. Sis, Six years and above lang ang kailangan ng study permit. Below that age, TRV na. Di na kailangan ng letter of approval sa school sa canada pag mag aaral ang anak, as long as ung hubby mo Skilled Worker (Under NOC O,A,B) or International Student (Full Time).

Sis sa case mo, may nabasa kasi ako eh. Sabi sa website na pwede mag apply ng SOWP ang spouse ng International Student if:


you are a full-time student at:

*a public post-secondary institution, such as a college or university or collège d'enseignement général et professionnel (CEGEP) in Quebec

*a private post-secondary institution that operates under the same rules and regulations as a public institution, and receives at least 50 percent of its financing for its overall operations from government grants (currently, only private college-level educational institutions in Quebec qualify) or

*a Canadian private institution authorized by provincial statute to confer degrees

*you have a valid study permit


Kasi diba ung school ni hubby mo private sya, though pwede din naman private, pero ung school ni hubby mo kasi for-profit sya ( http://www.cicic.ca/687/Vancouver_Institute_of_Professional_Management__VIPM_.canada?id_postsec=3009 ). Sa pagkakaintin ko sa sinabi na "receives at least 50% of its financing for its overall operations from government grants", ito ung mga private institution na non-profitable. And sabi pa under "Private Institution" ang qualify (currently) lang ung sa Quebec.

I maybe wrong, hintay na lang natin ung reply ng iba na may same case sa atin.

the validity of your visa will depend on the validity of the principal's work permit - spouse in Canada.

ang mabuti pa ang husband mo ang tanungin mo sa option kasi sya yun marami kasama dyan and first hand information ang sa kanya
I mean, marami syang kasama na taga VIMP cguro marami din sa kanila nag paprocess dn.

Makakasunod ka naman sis. After 2 years na mag graduate si hubby mo, kailangan nya mag work for one year under NOC O,A,B, after than pwede na sya mag apply for PR under CEC


Or

As soon as mag grad si hubby mo, and as soon as magka work na sya after graduation, pwede ka mag apply for SOWP as long as nasa NOC O,A,B


Or

Like what yung sinabi ko sayo sis kuha kayo ni baby ng US visa, punta kayo sa mom mo sa seattle, then apply ka sa border ng US and vancouver ng TRV for canada.


Or

Another thing sinabi ko sayo na apply ka as tourist and si baby. Pakita mo na lang mga documents na nag master ka sa pinas and pakita ka ng iba pang ties sa pinas.


Ano pala sabi ng hubby mo sis? Pwede sya sis mag transfer ng school, to make sure dun na lang sa post secondary public funded college. Sabihin mo na lang sis mag transfer na lang sya sa next sem, para maka apply ka na ng sowp.
