Thanks for this information.

1. Up to ilan years valid yun?
2. After receiving the visa, ilan months ang palugit nila bago pumunta sa Canada? Like dapat within 6 months nasa Canada na? May ganun ba parang initial entry requirement?
3. Ilan years ang need mo mag stay sa Canada with work para mag apply for CITIZEN?
4. Halimbawa nag expire yung PR after x years, tapos di kapa citizen, uwe kaba ng Pinas o pwede ba mag apply/renew ulit? May nabasa kasi ako na dapat 2 years nasa Canada para valid for re-new

Thank you ;)
1. Visa is valid 1 yr from date of medical or passport expiration whichever is shorter. Visa is one time use. When you land and become PR visa gets cancelled.
2. Same sa 1. You need to land before your visa or passport expires.
3. 4 yrs AFTER you become PR.
4. Best option is to not allow it to expire :). If in case na expire, just reapply for a PR card. If outside canada ka and na expired PR card mo, you need to apply for PR travel document.

2. Basically you need to land within 1 year of the medical request.
3. 4 years.
4. I don't think naman kailangang umuwi ng Pilipinas if you kept your valid PR status; you're still a PR if you meet the 720 days within 5 years, but you just can't apply for citizenship yet (which takes 4 years).

Oo, total hours worked lang ang titignan. So even accumulated part-time would have counted.

Hi PlasmodiumVivax, bellaluna,

Thanks, pero medyo magulo hehehe.

2. Ang initial visa na iiissue ay 1 time valid lang at dapat eh makapasok sa Canada within 1 year bago mag expire ang MEDICAL or PASSPORT (Kung sino ang mas mauuna)?
So meaning 1 month nalang valid yung initial visa para makapunta ka sa Canada and if not eh cancel na? Tama ba understanding ko?
5 years ba or walang expiration as long as nasa Canada ako ng 2 years every 5 years?

Hi All,

Need some help;

1. Work Experience

- Does this need to be permanent? I have 4 yrs contractual full time employment (yearly na renew) experience on my primary NoC... is this counted?

2. Reference letter

- What is the work around if employer does not want to include duties and benefits in the reference letter under company letterhead?

3. Proof of funds

- Do I need to declare ALL my assets even if providing just selected few will already meet the required amount for a family of 4? I.e I have savings account here in Singapore currency already meeting required amount ..... but I still have some financial instruments sa Pinas like treasury bills, time dep, bonds, kelangan po ba nila makita mga certificates nito?

Salamat

1. A visa is just a travel document. It does not make you a PR automatically. You need a Visa to enter Canada because we are from a non-visa exempt country. Once you land as a PR. That visa gets cancelled because you no longer need it because tadah! you are already a PR! you just need to show your PR card or PR travel document.

2. To make it clear, hindi yan within 1 yr. You need to land BEFORE the date indicated in your Visa (Ready for Visa email will tell you this). Typically the visa expiration is 1yr from date of medical. If you did medical too early, it means you would have lesser time. IF you send a passport with less than 6 months validity, your visa would be invalidated the same date as your passport even if you have a Visa that is valid much longer simply because You CANNOT use an expired passport. Kaya nasa instruction nila na dapat ipadala na passport is meron at least 6 months validity to provide ample time. In my case my Visa expiry is only until April 2016 because I did medical April this year. I need to land in Canada before April 2016 otherwise I will have to re-apply again as there is no extension for the visa even if my passport expires 2018. I can use the same Passport till it gets expired but I will have to show my PR card when trying to re-enter Canada.

3. Tama. Others have been asked to retake medical if umabot na more than a year yung medical nila by the time na approved. Kaya they are trying to have a decision within 6 months sa express entry.

IF wala ka pa PR card and you need to travel and go backt o Canada, you need a PR travel document.

Hi Plasma,

Very informative.

1. So once na maka INITIAL entry na sa Canada at to get a PR card eh pwede na labas pasok sa Canada diba?
So kung 5 years ang validity ng PR tapos minus 1 year alis muna Canada, meron pang 4 years para buuin yung 2 years para maka renew ng PR card right?
3. Every 5 years ba expiration ng PR card?

Tapos any link sa CIC website na nag eexplain nito? Thanks Thanks!

by the way, parang isang clinic lang ung official medical examiner dito sa SG no? kahit 3 doctors, pero pareho lang ung opisina sa ngee ann. mabilis lang ba mag pa schedule, or may pila? tapos meron ba sila ung parang pre-medical exam before nung official para malaman ko ung result bago nila ipadala? again, not that i am not healthy. sigurista lang, at least alam ko ano papadala nila.

kaka-excite!

1. Yes with PR Card
2. Initial PR card processing is about 42 days as per CIC site. Renewals at about 171days. If you need to travel without a PR card, you can apply for a PR travel document. yung PR card mo ipapadala dun sa address na ginamit mo during landing.
3. Yes PR card is valid for 5 yrs.

2. Reference letter

- What is the work around if employer does not want to include duties and benefits in the reference letter under company letterhead?<< not familiar with your company policy, but just get whatever your employer is willing to provide and then include in your loe why your employer is such an a$$h0le (ie why he's not willing to provide the job description/duties). you dont need the benefits in your coe, salary amt is enough.

3. Proof of funds

I.e I have savings account here in Singapore currency already meeting required amount ..... but I still have some financial instruments sa Pinas like treasury bills, time dep, bonds, kelangan po ba nila makita mga certificates nito? if you already have the required amount for 4 people in one savings account then that should be enough proof that you have funds to support yourself and your family. you dont 'need' to show the rest of your assets, unless you really want to

Thanks mapledipped!

1. Work Experience

- Thank you that's a relief, because I somewhat remember seeing somewhere in CIC website that states it must be both permanent and full time :-X

2. Reference letter

- Yeah! big fat A talaga :D I am able to secure duties signed by my supervisor in plain paper though. I read somewhere in another forum that this is one cause of rejection kaya I'm quite anxious. They also stated it must be notarized. Problem is my supervisor is based in the US and I'm based in Singapore so he sent a scanned signed copy to me only. Can I print that and have it notarized?? I'm really worried here

3. POF

- Haha! I won't show all unless necessary ;D

Can you also help send a checklist of documents for EE para I can prepare everything na based on requirement.

Thanks

Thanks for the answers and links Plasma! Very informative talaga ito sakin kung sakali ma invite man ako hehehe.

Tapos pwede kaya yung naisip ko na ganito, parang mag inital entry muna ako tapos alis muna for 1 year para to complete pending ko sa work then tsaka na ako talaga mag migrate fully sa Canada?

Hello PRCAND, Nice! yeap ako same day ko nakuha yung SMS tapos pinabalik ako after 4 days to collect my clearance.

For your NBI, wow talagang uuwi ka!

Appointment over the phone lang 260SGD per person. Tapos bigyan ka ng acnowledgment letter for you to upload sa EE for filing. In terms of you knowing the result... not sure eh... pero yung friend namin who did his medical back in July tinawagan sya kasi mataas ang BP nya sa result (high blood ) so sinabihan sya na pababain muna. Nakailang take sya for 3 weeks bago sinabing ok na yung result and isusubmit na nila. So I guess pag may mali naman, iinform nila tayo. Tatanungin ko bukas para sure... sasabihan kita.
