Hi everybody,

My application was received at CIC on 21-Jan-10, & unexpectedly I got their reply on 23-feb-10 ( within a month !)

but unfortunately they sent me back my application with two reasons,

1. Wrong visa office

2. The main duties listed on Schedule 3, page 2 of your application are insufficient. Please provide a detailed description of your main duties performed in the identified occupation.


Please suggest me for (2), what should I consider from it? Would they mean by that my job occupation isn't fine or should I really send my application back with more detailed job description?

Hi Phdmaker,

Yes, you should resend your application with more details and job description. Attach a separate paper sheet with title of form and under Question no type your details.
Provide and cover all job duties provided in your NOC. You can check your NOC job duties as specified here (http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2006/Welcome.aspx). Try to match your job responsibilities with your NOC and explain each and every job position you had in your career with matching NOC.

Thanks bro. but I had already done that. I followed what hrdc website tells for my NOC & had attached a sheet with the same form.

Since I've been associated with one company only, should I use all columns on Job Duties in form before moving to attached sheet first?

You need to fill one row and all columns for each position you had (even in same company). In "Main Duties" type "See Attache Sheet".

Try to provide as much details you can matching your job duties.
