Hi everyone, Update on my stuff. Yeah I know new post. XD!!!! I finally got all my documents and things together. I even have the money together. Medical was sent in like a month ago now. I am really worried that they are not going to keep it till I am able to send in the other stuff. It will seriously piss me off if they do not. I already did it and have no money to do it again.

So I am currently waiting on fingerprints. I sent them in three times now , 5 cards in total and they still can not get my fingerprints. It is starting to really tick me off because I haven't sent anything in yet because I am waiting to get my background check so I can send it with all the papers.

Has anyone else had problems with the FBI not doing your fingerprints?

I can't comment on the fingerprints, hopefully someone else can help you with that.

However, I had my medicals done ( and submitted ) on June 4th. Then I did not have the money to apply until August 12th. I am 9 months along with this application and have yet *crosss fingers* to have any issues with the time line.

If I understood it right, your fingerprint card was not accepted because your fingerprints were not legible? My husband went to the local police station in his city and asked an officer to help him with getting the fingerprints. Since, officers are experienced with this stuff they can be a good help.

Are you doing them yourself or are you getting a professional or policeman to do it? If even after that, you're still getting bad prints, it probably means your fingertips are slightly damaged on the surface, and there's a procedure on the FBI website for things like that.

They don't do fingerprints at the police station here anymore. I been to the DMV or what ever you call the drivers place to get them done because they do them. I have also went to a fingerprinting place in general. I am waiting on those results at the moment. It really does take to freaking long.

Im looking through the FBI website and I am not finding anything about a procedure. I found something saying just send in multiple cards.

Got this off the FBI website:

Special Circumstances

Deformed or missing fingers:

If the finger is deformed, every attempt should be made to record the fingerprint in both the rolled and plain impression blocks. A postmortem kit, which is more commonly known as a spoon, can be utilized to assist in recording these images. If unable to record the image, simply place a notation in the fingerprint block (e.g., deformed, webbed) or electronically apply the Unable to Print (UP) code in data field 2.084.

Missing fingers are fingers physically present but cannot be recorded at the time of capture due to injury. Each missing finger should be designated via a notation in the fingerprint block (e.g., bandaged, injured, crippled, paralyzed) or electronically apply the UP code in data field 2.084.

Fully amputated fingers:

An amputated finger occurs when the finger's first joint is no longer physically present. Amputated fingers should be designated via a notation in the fingerprint block (e.g., amp, missing at birth, severed) or electronically apply the Amputated (XX) code in data field 2.084.

Tip-amputated fingers:

If a portion of the first joint is present, record the available fingerprint pattern area in both the rolled and plain impression blocks.

Extra fingers:

When fingerprinting an individual with an extra finger, record only the thumb and the next four fingers. Do not record the extra finger as either a rolled or plain impression.

Scarred fingers:

Record scarred fingers in both the rolled and plain impressions without a notation.

Worn fingerprints:

An individual, by the nature of their work or age, may have very thin or worn ridges in the pattern area. Apply light pressure and use very little ink to record these types of fingerprint impressions. A technique known as “milking the finger” can be used to raise the fingerprint ridges prior to printing. This technique involves applying pressure or rubbing the fingers in a downward motion from palm to fingertip.

For more information about recording legible fingerprints or to request training, visit our website or contact the Customer Service Group at (304) 625-5590 or via e-mail at liaison @ leo.gov.

You mean you finally had an impression of your fingerprints taken, right?

You've had your fingerprints since birth. LOL!

Congrats! One more piece of the puzzle!
