Only today I e-mailed Shine.com officials and complained about two such small businesses. They were actually trying to find folks interested in immigration to Canada/ Australia (using free services of Shine.com) from whom they'll later charge like INR 60-65K per applicant, although their post said they were soliciting potential job applicants for jobs in Canada/ Australia. The funny part was they had no job offers for these countries (which I was quite sure of). The Shine.com guys called me and thanked for flagging them, and assured of taking action.scylla said:
But I guess the question remains, if CIO is welcoming 25,000 immigrants under FSW 2014 program, probably LMO must have come out with a huge (1000 per NOC category) requirement for the job categories identified under FSW 2014? Are there so many jobs in the Canadian market (especially white collar jobs)? I am interested in jobs for MBAs from global business schools within the financial services industry (even IT companies that work with financial services clients will be just fine). How has the revival of the economy been in Canada? I studied and worked in US for sometime. I know US has come out of the worst phase (read, 2009-11 phase) though the economy is still far from the good health of the pre-2007 era.

Even myself, a graduate of three World Top 100 unversities from Europe and a full-scale PR of Canada, spent 16 months on survival jobs before getting a meaningful job. If those agencies guarantee employment for fresh newcomers, some alarm bell should ring in applicants' minds.

As you can see, CPA's website clearly states 'Institute of Chartered Accountants of India' as a recognised body with which the Canadian counterpart has a mutual recognition agreement.
Which province are you looking to migrate to? I would suggest you look up the websites for CPA BC and CPA Ontario as the designations are province-centric in Canada.

16 months, I see. Thanks for the heads-up mate; I am beginning to realize what I am getting myself into! May be I need to do some pre-landing work to shorten that 'survival' period.

I was in call centres, customer service, which is much better compared to most other survival jobs like toilet and window cleaning, but still the pay was close to minimum wage, work schedule was floating like crazy (sometimes finishing at midnight and starting 8 am next day) and customers rude as hell (insulting you on every 5th call using swearword).

In order to be considered for meaningful job positions you need to be based in Canada and have no work restrictions (i.e. Permanent residence visa). Not to mention canadian references etc. If there is an international agency that promises you a job without these, then this is the same as me promising to you to earn millions by sitting at home.
