Most if not all of these advertisements are probably scams. Be careful.mchakilam said:Are there really good number of accounting jobs in canada, bcoz so many indian placements companies are advertising a lot for visa processing business
Only today I e-mailed Shine.com officials and complained about two such small businesses. They were actually trying to find folks interested in immigration to Canada/ Australia (using free services of Shine.com) from whom they'll later charge like INR 60-65K per applicant, although their post said they were soliciting potential job applicants for jobs in Canada/ Australia. The funny part was they had no job offers for these countries (which I was quite sure of). The Shine.com guys called me and thanked for flagging them, and assured of taking action.scylla said:Most if not all of these advertisements are probably scams. Be careful.

But I guess the question remains, if CIO is welcoming 25,000 immigrants under FSW 2014 program, probably LMO must have come out with a huge (1000 per NOC category) requirement for the job categories identified under FSW 2014? Are there so many jobs in the Canadian market (especially white collar jobs)? I am interested in jobs for MBAs from global business schools within the financial services industry (even IT companies that work with financial services clients will be just fine). How has the revival of the economy been in Canada? I studied and worked in US for sometime. I know US has come out of the worst phase (read, 2009-11 phase) though the economy is still far from the good health of the pre-2007 era.
Thanks in advance for taking the time to respond to my post. Cheers!

Oscar7 said:16 months, I see. Thanks for the heads-up mate; I am beginning to realize what I am getting myself into! May be I need to do some pre-landing work to shorten that 'survival' period.
If you don't mind sharing what were these survival jobs like? Feel free to send a personal message, if that works better. Thank you!
can you link me up to any international recruitment agency or any job?Alirezasajjadi said:I was in call centres, customer service, which is much better compared to most other survival jobs like toilet and window cleaning, but still the pay was close to minimum wage, work schedule was floating like crazy (sometimes finishing at midnight and starting 8 am next day) and customers rude as hell (insulting you on every 5th call using swearword).
I am afraid pre-landing research is unlikely to shorten the survival period by much because they need you to accummulate canadian work experience and canadian referees which can only be accummulated by physical presence in the country.
By the way, I got an offer from an insurance company 3 weeks after landing, but it was a commission-based sales job and I did not go for it. If you fancy unstable income and cold outbound calling to sell insurance policies, this is the most accessible way into finance industry.
P.s. replying to your PM - I am economist and work in Alberta.

i reside in UAE with more than two years experience in networking/computer administration.
Alirezasajjadi said:In order to be considered for meaningful job positions you need to be based in Canada and have no work restrictions (i.e. Permanent residence visa). Not to mention canadian references etc. If there is an international agency that promises you a job without these, then this is the same as me promising to you to earn millions by sitting at home.
Market is saturated - companies have already too many local candidates to consider.
currently you can secure permanent residence without a job offer in Canada. That is set to change by 1 January 2015.eduson33 said:thanks for you reply but am a bit confused.
I reside outside canada,
Is it possible to secure a residency or any kind of stay in canada without a job offer?
That is so that the 25k people need to eat, sleep and spend their lifetime savings into the Canadian economy. This is how the economy is functioning. Some people get frustrated and leave and then those are replaced with additional 25k the following year this gives the government a constant and consistent budget surplus on a year by year basis.Amit1242 said:I am really confused learning all these realities. If the govt of canada has to take care their current locals, why invite another 25K with fancy NOCs. How about doing diploma courses in finance or accounting? Will that help to get a decent job?
