okay expert guy, if thats what you say, it is.
i'm just going by the statistics, but the stats that i've read is wrong, as what you says...
I have to say - It's obvious to any native speaker that your English is not 100%. I don't know how you think you can jump in here and try to tell everybody what's really going on. You talk as if you're sitting here in Canada but it sure doesn't sound like it to me
Unless I've mistaken what sounds like Filipino or Indian grammar and you're French, in which case I really apologize.
Like the others have said, the posted wait times are irrelevant when others are processed long before you, and especially when they change the wait times to suit their agenda. When I started my application it was 9 months and now it's up to 14. They don't hold themselves accountable for that at all. Any thing they could have messed up, they did. My application sat unopened in Mississauga and then Ottawa for 3 months. The processing time is usually a month but they conveniently changed it at that time to 3 months so I had no avenue to complain. I didn't even know if they had my file as it wasn't even opened or put into the system. My sponsor approval was 4.5 months long but there is no way I could have been denied.
The call centers are bogged down, you will be lucky to get through in your lunch hour, and they can't even help you or they can be downright argumentative. During that time, somebody entered another person's address for mine, so my address was all of a sudden in a different province and they couldn't rectify their own mistake.. I had to apply to change the mistake myself and wait a few weeks until it would take effect.
Misspelled Email addresses are common. Even though we entered them on the electronic forms, they didn't even pay attention and misspelled my partner's email address. It's happened to many people - the very most important form of communication is not even verified on your ECAS for you to view or correct.
Last week, 10 people's visa deliveries were sent to the wrong people! In our Manila group, one guy had his application sent to the wrong VO - India by mistake. And nobody noticed until months later!
During all this time, the Immigration Minister boasts record processing times.. which just rubs it in our face. A year later I get my GCMS notes and see that it only took them a week or two to review and approve our file.
We are meant to do our medicals before applying but now the processing time in Stage 2 for Manila is 14 months - which really hurts us since they never extend medicals beyond 12 months like they promised they would be able to. They don't even notify you when they mail your passport back with a visa. If you don't check ECAS every day for DM, all of a sudden, BOOM you could get important documents in the mail and not even know it! We have nearly NO avenue for complaint, especially when our files are still under review, and there is no transparency in the process at all.
It's funny, or ironic, that Luckyman complains of know-it-alls, and one appears
Good luck to you, buddy.
