Hi!
I have read previous forums about my concern but the last date I checked was 2012. Just wanted to know if there could be any changes of the rule regarding final province of destination.. I indicated Toronto as my destination in my application, but planning to settle in the province of Nova Scotia instead.. I am under the FSW program applicant.

Do I need to fill out any form to update my change of destination?

Thank you.

PMM,

Please, could you answer on my question?

My partner, child, and me have plan to immigrate to Quebec.

For example, When we come there, and after we get Quebec Permanent Card, do we have to stay in Quebec for a long time OR we can settle in other place of Canada (that is not Quebec), for example, in Manitoba, Alberta, Ontario?

Thank you.

Thank you PMM for your response..
You've said that your immigration category is FSW, thus; shouldn't be a problem if you decided to change your final destination

Once your PR is approved under Quebec Immigration, you should have to stay permanently in Quebec. You might encounter a problem in the future if you apply for Citizenship or renew your PR

Any source on that? Because "as a permanent resident, you have the right to... live, work or study anywhere in Canada".

If you have PR status, you can go wherever you want. Any restrictions on where you can live can only exist during the application process while you still have temporary status.
