hello guys,

nag update cla sa Frequently ask questioned RLMD

How many of the forum members have recently visited the FAQs of Nova Scotia Immigration Official Website. I just did and i have noticed the following changes:

For following Question

Q: I hear there's a cap. Have you reached it yet?

A: The NSOI has received a large number of applications for the Regional Labour Market Demand stream. We will only be nominating 150 in total this calendar year. Please take this into consideration when determining whether you wish to apply to the RLMD.

They have added the following line: We will be updating the website as we progress toward meeting the 150 cap.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The previously posted question "What if i don't make it to 150" and its answer "You will be given the option of withdraw or queuing up for next year" has been replaced by the following question and Answer

Q: What will happen to my application after you reach 150?

A: There has been very high interest in the RMLD. Once we have identified the 150 nominations, people will be contacted as to next steps.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

And guess what, the third change is the most striking one. They previously said they would accept "Academic Module" of IELTS as well, but now look at the following which is presently posted in FAQs:

Q: Do I need to take the IELTS General test if I've already passed the IELTS Academic?

A: Yes. If you are using the IELTS as proof of language, it must the IELTS General. CIC does not accept IELTS Academic when processing applications for permanent residency.

Hello everybody,,

TO all inquiring about the Job demand here with N U R S I N G..

Yes,, it is a VERY HIGH IN DEMAND,, there' literally hundreds of employment for RNs here.
However, the challenge is getting the RN license, the process is tasking, yet straight forward.

The biggest challenges for everybody is
1. The IELTS acad score requirement (Writing 7, Speaking 7, Listening 7.5, Reading 6.5)

2. The competence assessment from the college (they require you to take this when you have less experience working as an RN, Hence, whatever skill or knowledge you need to improve on, you would have to take a course for it) This competence assessment have a lot of booking which will take you atleast 5 months before you get your turn. Also, the two-day assessment costs roughly 1200$ (ouch) (Doesn't include yet the courses you have to take if ever you don't pass some of the competency)

3. When you get your eligibility to take the CRNE, (yipeee!), the exam is very challenging. It is only a half day exam, and it costs 550$ to take it. (you can only take it 3 times, if you still didnt pass it, you will have to take a bridging/re-entry course for approx 1 year)
***if you pass the exam, the registration costs another 550$*** (don't worry, this is not a problem once youre an RN here)

Hi again,
It's about my son's age, he will be turning 18 years old this coming July but as of the time of applicatin (April) 17 years old pa lang sya. Is he considered as 18 na? I just want to clarify because we are going to be mailing our application soon, so I better check so that I can make amendments. Thanks in advance.

The age of your son will be depending on the date of application.

Hi Bluesteel,

In my thought, if you are applying for RLMD, it is better for you to submit your educational credential for assessment to one of the designated organizations set-up by the CIC such as WES, ICAS, and others applicable with your occupation now. Time is your great conqueror. Although it is not a requirement for RMLD when submitting application to them, they may ask you that at the later stage if nominated. Do not worry if CIC would change their designated organizations in the future. If you are really a serious applicant to Canada or in any country you want, you have to invest financially to your application if in exchange, might give you or with your family a better life and greener pasteur.

Regards,

Mickeyboy
Thanks Mickeyboy, much appreciated! :)
