help! is it appropriate if i write 18.5 in the number of years of formal education?i have a double degree and i finished my education with addtional 1 semester. or should i just round it off to 19?

to everyone: i heard refusals because of their job duties. it did not satisfy the visa officer. how do you enhance your job description? i would'nt dare to copy and paste the job description listed on the canadian embassy website.

Good question. About the extra semester, it is not about the number of semesters it took you to finish your course but the prescribed number of years your course is set to be finished. A nursing degree would take you four years to finish but if it took another semester or a year to finish it just because you can't fulfill the requirements doesn't mean you'll have five years of tertiary education.

I think you just need to tell the truth. Yes you can enhance your job description but it can only do so much. I think copying and pasting the exact job description on the Canadian embassy's website would be a faux pas. You can't have the jitters just because you've heard some people's experience were refused by the VO. Take courage and have the guts to be proud of your own experience :) And about the enhancing part I think if you have a friend who is in an HR company you could ask him or her to do the resume pimping for you :) They usually know the ideal characteristics of people that they want to hire.

Good luck and God bless!

hello po everyone.. ask lang po ako..

1. im currently pregnant po kasi and my due is on december pa, do i need to wait for december before i submit documents to manila vo? para mainclude ung baby ko sa application, i believe kelangan ata ng bc from nso?

2. and un pu bang mga tor, diploma, prc eh kelangan na ka red ribbon and updated na din ung surname if married na??..

3. panu pu kung ung company ko eh wala naman seal and email or website, okay lang pu ba yun?

pls help naman po.. thank u po ;)

don't copy/paste the duties posted on the website. Take note of the keywords posted and use action words that are realistic, clear and concise. Be specific and make your duties customized to the industry you are into. I made some elaborations din. I mentioned something about my clients, stakeholders, para malaman ng CIO na may specific industry/area akong tinutukoy. I work in HR. Sabi ng forumers dapat 80-90 percent ng nasa website ay ginagawa mo. Wait ko pa ang result ng application ko. Sana maging positive.

negative ang result ng MR ko sa sputum at PPD. Ang policy kasi ng Australian embassy, kahit negative sputum at PPD, basta may scar at hindi natreat previously kahit scar na lang yan, the applicant will have to undergo the treatment. Kawawa nga ang liver at kidneys kasi biro mo ahit wala kang sakit pinapainom ka ng gamot. Naninigurado daw sila eh.

thanks psychnars. Do you mean nagpositive sa TB Mr mo after doing the sputum test kaya sya nagtreatment, right? I am looking at the possibility of having a negative sputum test just in case he'll be required to do so. In that case, kahit ba negative sputum test, magmemeds pa rin?
thanks maharlika. tb is contagious, right? at kung meron sya nun, nahawa na sana kami, di ba?

you need not to change your married name sa mga school documents mo. mas matatagalan ka pa nyan. your marriage certificate
is enough of a proof. i did not change my surname when i got married. my passport even bears my birth name and that is legal.

i asked one consultant before if a company does not have a seal and they said just a business letter head will do. hindi namn kasi uso sa pinas yong seal.

to everyone who passed applications after june 26: did you pass 2 copies of the fill up forms(i.e. schedule 1,3,etc) one copy each for NS visa office and Manila VO?

Hi, everyone!

I just have a question for the seniors here...and to those who could share some insights on this:

My IELTS will expire on Feb 2011 and I plan to take it again since I tentatively plan to land by April or May 2011 yet, if ever I'd be given the visa. Would it be advisable for me to take the Academic Module this time or take the General Training Module again?

Thanks a lot in advance sa mga magre-response. ;)
