id like to know has anyone here submitted his/her application after June 29, 2010 and received feedback from the CIO afterwards? I saw in an indian forum this guy received his entire package after he submitted it beyond June 2010. CIO returned his application due to incomplete info at the back of the photos. This poor guy happened to forget to indicate the date when the photo was taken. Grabe, simpleng bagay lang, binalik na ng CIO ang application nya. As regards educational reqt, would they be stricter in the evaluation. Would they require a PhD in case the occupation requires it? For nurses and doctors, PRC lic ang usual requirement. But in some occupations like Managers, required kaya ang management course? Any insights/thoughts on this?

I just had my urinalysis at Nationwide this morning. It's good that hubby went with me. He needed to have a repeat x-ray with a different view. Meron kc nakita na maliit na ewan sa lungs nya kaya nagpa x-ray uli sya na different view naman. Tinanong kami kung talagang hindi daw sya nagkaTB and we're very sure of our answer na "hindi." Pag-uwi nga namin ay kinonfirm pa namin sa byenan ko kung never na nagkaTB mister ko... at never naman daw talaga.

Ano kaya ang mangyayari? For others, meron sila old x-rays for comparison. Kaso, walang ganun mister ko. Clear naman ang x-ray nya based on the one he had before we went to Nationwide.

He's very healthy at hindi rin ubuhin. Ano kaya yung nakita sa x-ray nya and how do you think will that affect our application?

Thanks.

pagpray mo na lang na sana walang makitang scar. Pag may scar yan, katulad ng nangyari sa Mr ko when he applied for a dependant visa (australia), pinag sputum test, x-ray, PPD at nagmedication sya for 3 months kahit scar lang yan. So nadelay ang processing ng application nya ng 6 months. Pero after medication binigyan din sya ng clearance ng doctor pero its too late na rin.

abilex,

don't worry...tb is treatable...it won't hinder ur chance of having a visa, somehow, it may add delays..but still, u can have ur dream...some seniors had the same experience but are now happily living in canada...

High rate of unemployment among university-educated new immigrants in Canada

Canada, 7th October: New immigrants in Canada having university education are likely to get fewer jobs than Canadian-born people with same education level, a recent study indicates.

According to the latest annual report into quality of life in Canada titled-Canada Vital Signs 2010- states that immigrants with professional credentials and having lived in Canada for a period less than five years were having a 4.1 percent higher jobless rate than the non-immigrants in Canada.

Canadians with university education were found to be having 3.4 percent unemployment rate while the rate of joblessness among immigrants in the country was 13.9 percent, the report maintains.

Meanwhile, the overall rate of unemployment among new immigrants was 15 percent as compared to 7.8 percent among Canadian workers.

Canada’s dependency on immigration is increasing due to its reducing work force and the findings are of a great concern for the country, the Community Foundations of Canada, an umbrella organization supporting charities has maintained.

Reasons for these wide differences in the rate of employment among Canadians and immigrants in Canada could be due to delay or denial in recognition of foreign credentials, language problems and insufficient Canadian work experience for newcomers in Canada.

The report findings reveal nearly 36 percent of immigrants in Canada in the age group of 25-54 years are university educated.

And if recognition of foreign credentials of all immigrants in Canada is done, then this would result in addition of around $5 billion in the economy of Canada each year, the CBC (Conference Board of Canada) states.

The provinces of Quebec and Alberta were found to be having largest differences in the rates of joblessness in Canada between immigrants and Canadians. Canadians with university education were having a jobless rate of 2.9 percent in Alberta while immigrants with similar level of education had a jobless rate of 11.5 percent.

Quebec had around 20 percent of the university-educated newcomers without any job.

Out of the total Canadian population, almost 50 percent possess some sort of post-secondary education, the official data for the year 2009 which shows an increase of around 2.0 percentage points from the year 2006.

thanks psychnars. Do you mean nagpositive sa TB Mr mo after doing the sputum test kaya sya nagtreatment, right? I am looking at the possibility of having a negative sputum test just in case he'll be required to do so. In that case, kahit ba negative sputum test, magmemeds pa rin?

hi slax! :) wala na akong isinamang document of any sort when i sent the rprf ;)

Hi! when i sent my rprf, my consultant adviced me to write a cover letter, in your letter mention that you are attaching a manager's check or bank draft worth _____ as payment for your rprf, and also mention the date you had your medical exam or the suppose date that you are planning to take the medical exam, also you have to attach the letter you received from the CIC (RPRF and MEDical Request letter). Don't forget to include your Reference No. in the letter, it should be put above your name...that's what my consultant told me

sa case ko wla na talaga akong isinamang document or any letter coz wala namang instructions frm their email. the file number was written on the envelope under my name. but u may follow what asitoja did to play safe. ;D

Hi Maam Abilex, sa ibang thread dito sa forum, merong almost the same case as yours, "medical at nationwide med....." something, ,,when her wife returned to the clinic for a rpt. U/A, he found out that he also needs to repeat his x-ray for a different view,,pero nung nakita na ok naman yung 2nd x-ray,,wala ng additional test na ginawa sa kanya,,and their medical was sent after 2 weeks sa embassy,,medyo nadelay nga lang....
