You need to have at least 1 year of experience. You are not qualified to apply under FSW.

Caregiver experience in my opinion cannot be considered as a nursing experience. As CarribRN said, you need to have at least 1 year experience as a nurse to qualify for Canada immigration under FSW category.

The easiest and the fastest way to Canada at this moment is to be a caregiver. This is even easier than marrying a Canadian. But you should show both educational credentials and working experience as a caregiver to qualify in the caregiver program, but not with FSW(Federal Skilled Worker). If you have both, I would suggest you to take this route. Then pursue your nursing career in Canada after 2 years working as a caregiver. I have a friend who is a licensed RN, working here in KSA applied as a caregiver in Canada, in less than 6 months she landed in Canada.

Right on, Aspire.

Plus, you should be able to find someone, an employer who will be willing to give an employment offer for you.

hi fritzsped and to everyone,

i read your post regarding ur concern about your account having 12k upon submission to visa office but eventually had 4k left along the wa but still have the minimum fund requirement available........

1. did it post any problem with ur application?
2.may mga kababayan ba na the same thing happened but still had their visa?

thanks...
it's ok... I'm still waiting for my eligibility and I still have 20days left.. I already have the money.. when I applied we declared CAD17k, but I heard as long as you're above the minimum ok na yan.. ang prob ko nalng ay ang adaptability.. this criteria is very subjective kase, it's upto the officer to add or deduct points.. wala akong arranged employment kasi mas mataas ang bayad. at hindi pwede common law. I'm a nurse but I think adaptability is my prob, no relatives and no arranged employment.. sana mabait yung officer ko.. huuhhu

guys you can read and ask here also:

look na lang po CIC topic, naka 3 topics na kasi ito sa daming posts :)

fritzpsed,

question po and to all seniors, dun sa relatives it only say that uncle/auntie. does this count your first cousins? nandito kasi mga parents nila at ang mga first degree (meaning their parents are siblings) cousins and nandoon. Sa application, ang choice lang e auntie/uncle. Please help.

Sa provincial nominee kasi sa manitoba, clearly stated na pwede ang first degree cousins.

sana mabait ang visa officer na matapat sakin at maging considerate kasi i applied sa FSW category

What do you mean by saying na "hindi pwede ang common law" I think you can claim adaptablity points from the educational credentials of your common law partner for as long as you can convince the IO that you and your partner have been sharing one life for some period of time. Seniors pls correct me if I am wrong..

If by saying "hindi pwede ang common law" means you have no common law partner, then the best thing to do is to get married with someone who has a Bachelors degree so you can get 4 points from adaptability. Of course to someone you really love, bachelors degree should not be the prime objective, you should not marry not just for the sake of passing the 67 points requirement for Canada immigration.

....Just an advise, the ball is all yours...

Hello Kabayans....

My family is applying as immigrant under FSW category. My husband is the principal applicant who is a Telecom Engineer. My family is currently here in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. My husband is scheduled to take his IELTS on 20 March 2010. Afterwhich, we will submit our application in Nova Scotia. Pls. help me answer my queries:

1. Usually, how long does CIO reply?
2. As we are in Saudi Arabia, our visa office is in London. Do they require documents (birth cert, diploma, transcript, etc.) in DFA red ribbon?

Thanks in advance.
