@Yani..

navisit mo na ung site? Have you seen the options for ISP? Matrabaho syang gawin.
If you have 12 years experience pwde un entry point mo.
Ilang years lang exp ko as IT. Kaya Professional sana ung entry point. Pero ung BOK nila is napakalawak. Nabasa mo na? Parang all-around ka dapat para makapasa thru that entry point.

mahal din ang application for the ISP. hiwalay pa dun ung membership lang sa CIPS.

kung my idea ka easier way, pashare sana. hehe :D

meanwhile unahin ko muna sa Apegga. masaligned dun ung course ko and some years of my experience.

Hi mari_cnd,

I applied under College and other vocational instructors and registered nurse category as well.NCLEX is harder than CRNE(personal opinion only) as I analyze sample questions and comparing both exams.its just that CRNE application process is much complicated than NCLEX.

thanks char_bonel for your reply... what do u mean of more complicated?!? do i still need to send my Transcript of record for verification to an accredited agency endorsed by canada board exam? too many questions fr me maybe I have to check the link given by aspire. In nclex it takes 3-4mos (depends on the state where u applied others 6-8mos.) processing including the request for TOR in your school & evaluation of credentials.

Hi aspire, char_bonel and the rest.. Would you know if what's the minimum years of work experience do they require in Manitoba or in Ontario? Or do they accept those who do not have any work experiences yet? Thanks a lot..

as I review the link on how to register in Manitoba.... You need to be active, practicing registered nurses in a country outside canada... so what if my last hospital work was year 2006 and until now Im not working as a nurse. But under NOC 3152 you shld have atleast 1yr working experience during the last 10years... do you have any input on this?!?
Can I register now while waiting for my PR application?!?

thanks!

For as long as you have at least 1 year nursing practice experience and this experience occured within the last 10 years, then you are quallified for registration...

Yes, In Manitoba, you can start your registration process before landing in Canada provided you have to sit for the exam within one year from the approval. My papers were submitted 2 months ago to crnm. I submitted my high school and college TOR to IQAS, a separate agency that will assess your school credentials, then IQAS will forward it to CRNM. By then my registration application is complete and processing commences and expected to be finalized after 3 months. IQAS by the way is also a 3 months waiting process, varies depending on the number of applications at hand...

But this in not true with other provinces, you must be a landed immigrant to qualify for registration..LET US GO TO WINNIPEG, MANITOBA GUYS...

Now, after 2 years working as RN in Manitoba, then apply for nursing registration in Ontario. If you have the RN license from Manitoba, madali na lang ang Ontario registration, paperworks lang, no more exams...

Thanks for your reply aspire very detailed.... so you need to work as RN first in manitoba before you can work in ontario. You can only take the exam in canada unlike nclex many countries hold a testing ctr.

I want to register now asap since one of the requirements in manitoba you need to have a working experience during the last 5 years... oh well. btw, is there any fee for credentials evaluation?!?

My credentials was already evaluated by IERS.. international education research foundation & paid $300 for that... can I use it?!?

Hi all nurses,

CRNE is much complicated compared to NCLEX because we have to do some bridging programs and SEC assessments. In some Canadian territories, theres SEC assessment, in some others theres bridging program.CarribRN who went through Ontario processing, completed the application in 7 months and good for her she doesnt have to do bridging programs 2 be eligible for CRNE because shes currently doing bedside care. For Ontario, we need not to have work experience to start with the process.its just that no bedside care experience wud mean bigger chances of doing bridging programs but i heard most Filipino nurses are qualified to do LPN licensure first, work as LPN, do bridging program, take CRNE.

I have good news though, got my 2nd aor.now i need to continue Ontario application...

thanks for all ur help....

Char_bonel,

I received the package for Ontario Nursing Registration application, but I did not push with that because one of the requirements is to be a landed immigrant. Nasa US siguro si CarribRN? Paano kaya siya naka register, I believed she is applying still for PR.

This is the reason why,I shifted to Manitoba nursing registration. They don't require bridging program, and they give nursing Bachelors degree from Philis equivalent to their standards. Kaya eligible kaagad mag take ng exam as soon as you land, and registration process can start even before landing in Canada. I submitted mine, the remaining doc is the IQAS. My IQAS processing started last December and they said it will be finished sometime in February 2010.Three months after that God willing kung walang ibang problems I can get my registration.

Yani312, maraming salamat sa suggestions mo...

Mukhang na hijack ng mga nurses ang thread na ito, sorry guys...
Hi aspire,

i clarified with Ontario if i need to be landing immigrant for Ontario assessment months back. There are actually two steps to almost all territories in Canada.First is the assessment which maybe done outside canada including Ontario and other territories.During assessment, they determine if a nurse is qualified to do SEC assessment( a 2 day exam, written and demo, done in Canada) or do bridging program before qualifying for CRNE. Second is registration for CRNE which as far as I know to all territories is done inside canada. Theres a lot of confusion for Ontario Manual because it is the registration for CRNE that is done when u land but the assessment maybe started even before landing.

Char_bonel,

Yes char you are correct regarding Ontario registration process. Educational credentials assessment can be started before landing but the complete approval of the registration will not be granted unless you are a landed immigrant. This is so with all the other provinces except Manitoba. Everything can be processed before the approval of your PR in your home country. Once you are registered you can even go to Canada on a visit visa just to sit for the exam and leave Canada after the exam.
