Hi All,

I applied for PR as FSW last Sep 2009 and got this reply from the Intake Office:

You have indicated that you have work experience in occupations with the following NOC codes: 2174 etc..These occupations are not included on the list of eligible occupations specified in the instructions identified by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on 28 November 2008.

Is it possible na yung job description na nilagay ko sa forms, hindi tugma dun sa nasa NOC? I just stated kung ano ang tasks ko for my previous jobs, and was rejected.

Any tips? Dumaan ba kayo ng local agencies to help you with the application?

I think NOC 2174 is a computer programmer which was not included in 38 Eligible Occupations before June 26, 2010 thats why they rejected it. Only IT manager occupation (NOC 0213) is accepted. After June 26, 2010 even NOC 0213 was removed from the New 29 Eligible Occupations....FYI

NOC 2174 if I am not mistaken have been removed from the list after Feb 2008.

hi maemae.. you will have to wait within 1-2months and check your e-mail regularly. we got the PPR thru email. good luck!

Just got a call from the embassy this morning regarding visa stamping of our passports and asked me If I want to deliver the baby in Canada so that they can issue our visa right away. I've told them I cannot make it and will deliver the baby outside of Canada. They said I need to declare the docs once the baby is born...another months of waiting..

Let's just think na the longer we wait, the greater the thrill of achievement is. tska, let's make use of the waiting time honing our skills, spending time with our family esp those who are not accompanying with us, and friends. sabi nga ng mga nasa canada na, iba tlga doon. minsan kahit isang bahay lng kau, u get to see each other during weekends n lng because of working night/day shift. we'll really be missing those we will leave behind.

sometimes, we are so anxious maybe because we dont know what will be the result of the VO's assessment. time to pray... wla na sa kamay natin ang dox, nasa kanila na ang bola. LET GO and LET GOD. pls read my signature line. it helps me a lot. im sure its going to help u too.

you are welcome m2canada..be ready with your game plan before arriving in canada. meaning, invest time in preparing ur resume according to the canadian standards, mindsets, the language, all the documents( TOR and other credentials... Good luck!

mind if ask why u cant deliver the baby in canada, ndpadin? kasi, the way i see it, less hassle kng doon ka na manganganak, di ba?
