hello ppl! has anyone here requested a canadian police certificate? I just need to confirm kung tama gagawin namin. my application reached NS sydney may 4 and my husband worked in alberta canada for two years.

Firstly, do we need to get a canadian police certificate for him. my credit card was charged already last aug. 6. by now, we are collecting the documents needed for submission at manila vo. i was confused because i saw this in the website--

Do I need to provide a police certificate when applying for permanent residence?
Only in certain cases. The Canadian visa office will tell you if you need a Canadian police clearance once your application is being processed.

when i browsed the website of royal canadian mounted police, it was stated that the average turn about time for the certificate is 120days which is the same time we need to submit full docs.

how can it be possible to submit full docs within 120days then?

hi Gico thanks ha. yup sabi nga nila 3 months lang kaya dun nalang ako kukuha.. pero unti-unti ako nag aaral dito para d ako maxado mahirapan, mahal din kasi dun driving school plus sayang ung time mas better mag apply nalang husband mo ng PR, mabilis naman tapos puwede pa niya kau isama agad. sa vancouver intial landing ko, sana maraming work or else lilipat ako toronto. haha. kau?

question lang sa seniors at mga nakarecieved na ng visa , paano ba pag hiningi yung passport may papadala ba na letter thru mail or sa email mo malalaman and second question paano papadala yung visa with the passport thru mail ba or lbc or dhl . maraming salamat

hi there everyone! good news! i got my visa today from the embassy. i am so excited. i am making finalization sa ticket ko. i will be leaving on sept 28 ( via cathay and air canada) . New life na after september 2010.

Sa lahat nang nakakuha nang visa .. congrats. At sa wala pa .. pls be patient .. your time will come.

Mga seniors ... you may answer this:

a. matagal ba yung paghihintay sa port of entry nang toronto? mahaba ba yung pila? kasi once i arrived sa toronto.. after the immigration mayroon pa akong domestic/ connecting flight going to NS.
b. Dapat ba ehh declare yung proof of fund mo more than 10 000 USD dollars sa immigration officer?

hope na masagot ninyo yung questions ko... Salamat and good luck to us all.

at least by experience through Vancouver, yung immigration officer did not bother to ask for the funds, so he wrote down in the CPR as zero "0", then we signed it and he said "welcome to canada". as fo the customs, the "nothing to declare" line is just like a small queue. just pass by handing over the piece of paper to someone collecting it, that's it - you're next through the domestic. you have to claim your bags and check it in again for air canada.

hi reyes888.. it varies.. in our case, request was sent thru email.. i've heard from others that they received it via snail mail. sending of the passport is thru courier to:

Embassy of Canada, Visa Section / Unit B
Level 6, Tower 2, RCBC Plaza
6819 Ayala Avenue
Makati City 1226
Philippines

Applicants may not deliver passports in person or via the drop-box in order to obtain their immigrant visas. passports with immigrant visa,Confirmation of Permanent Residence Form(s), and your original documents will be returned to you by COURIER COLLECT.

Hi All,

I applied for PR as FSW last Sep 2009 and got this reply from the Intake Office:

You have indicated that you have work experience in occupations with the following NOC codes: 2174 etc..These occupations are not included on the list of eligible occupations specified in the instructions identified by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on 28 November 2008.

Is it possible na yung job description na nilagay ko sa forms, hindi tugma dun sa nasa NOC? I just stated kung ano ang tasks ko for my previous jobs, and was rejected.

Any tips? Dumaan ba kayo ng local agencies to help you with the application?
