ok i understand. before i applied under 0111 and my credit card was charged aug. 6. at that time, i thought we are just waiting for our AOR since my credit card was charged. they said, there is a 95% chances that you will pass the first stage once you are charged. unfortunately for me, that i was denied based on insufficient job descriptions. anyway, so much for that. i don't want to indulge in painful experiences anymore.
as of now, me and my husband are still planning to apply but my husband will be the primary applicant. we are just waiting for his ielts.
you actually applied without the nbi clearance? my husband worked in canada for two years and we have requested for police clearance since early september. however we haven't received the clearance yet. although, we have our nbi clearances with us. we are planning to include it in the package to be submitted to CIO.
Yes, I submitted my application w/out NBI clearance. At the time I was gathering my documents, police clearance was required for all countries the applicant lived in for more than 6 mos. until the latest guideline issued by VO- Manila in August 2010.
To quote, "If you are submitting your application to the CIO on or after June 26, 2010, the police certificates are not required with your complete application to the CIO. If your application is placed into processing you will be required to provide police certificates to the visa office at a later date."
So, after reading that over and over and reading through discussions in other forums, I am more confident that it makes no sense to submit one if it was specifically mentioned not to submit. It also makes perfect sense for the police clearance to be asked at a later date because of the heightened call for security. Also, requiring a more recent police clearance at a later date during the process is one way for Canada to ensure they are not about to give refuge to criminals.
How did you go about requesting for a police clearance in Canada? I also worked and lived in Canada but have not requested for a police certificate yet. Previous guideline and most recent one does not require unless specifically asked at a later time. I read from somewhere that RCMP will not entertain such request unless you have a specific form/letter reference given out by immigration.
Regarding encashment of payment, I believe this means that we have passed the completeness check and our application are placed for eligibility review.
“If the application is eligible for processing, the applicant will be informed. Once processing has begun, the cost recovery fee is no longer refundable. The CIO will proceed to processing the application against the FSW minimal requirements”.
“If the applicant’s submission is determined to be ineligible for processing, the applicant will be informed and will receive a refund.”
So let’s all hope we get through the process. If not, I just hope to win the P350M lottery jackpot. ;D
