Exactly if they are gonna take two years to process than I don't want funds to be in my bank but in market or buying a house or a car.

Exactly, it is a progressive process. It's not that all applications will receive a decision in 2 years. Applicants will start receiving decisions based on their application submission, NOC demand, priorities etc. They have a quota of 55,000 Visas for 2011. My assumptions are that approx. 12,000 will be for MI-2, another 10,000 (max.) for MI-3 applicants who will start applying after 1 July 2011. Therefore at least 30-35,000 Visas are available for MI-1 applicants & some pre Feb 2008 applicants.

So how they process these 35,000 Visas is anybody's guess, but definitely MI-1 applicants will still be getting Visas in 2011.

SO KEEP THE HOPES ALIVE & PRAY THAT YOU ARE ONE OF THE LUCKY ONES TO GET SELECTED FOR GETTING YOUR APPLICATION PROCESSED !!

Yukon, Buddy u seem to bang on target.

The processing time will definitely increase gradually and shall reach 24 mths.

currently the priorities are MI -2 and the upcoming MI 3, for rest of the quota, MI 1 and old applicants.

Exactly, so instead of our applications getting processed in 9-11 months as earlier, it may get processed in 14-18 months hereon. So many will still be receiving Visas in 2011.
It all depends now in the 7500 quota for New Delhi Office, how many would be available for MI-1 & SAP applicants. My guesstimate here is that around 2500 Visas will be issued for MI-2 applicants & another (maybe) 1500 for the MI-3 in 2011. So their will be approx. 3500 Visas available for MI-1 & SAP applicants. I don't see many SAP applicants getting processed, so we will still have approx. 3000 Visas for MI-1 applicants (pre 26 June 2010 applicants).
NDVO must have issued approx. 1000 Visas uptill now for MI-1, based on the figures from the forum (extrapolated).

SO WE DO HAVE 2000 VISAS (MIN.) UP FOR GRABS FOR THE REMAINDER OF 2011 FOR MI-1 APPLICANTS !! ;)

Now thats some real number crunching ;D as well as a Logical Hope that the processing will just get delayed, beyond what we really estimated. So more patience.

Even I agree that the 14 months Processing time will get revised to 17 months (adding 3 months) in the next updation cycle, stretching the whole file process to complete in 24 months.

+1 For Yukon.

I don't feel that optimistic.
CHC ND is processing March file transfers since last 4 to 5 months and still they are pending.
Not to forget that new list will be created in July so again a backlog will be created.

I feel that most of our cases will be processed in like 18 months.

Why did they took proof of funds from us.
All money is locked now.

I never felt that hopeless in my life.
Its like 1.5 years lost.

Dear out of 7500 visas half of them are already been reallocated to family class, due to immense pressure from indian MPs there

7500 is just for FSW category in 2011 for NDVO. Their is a separate quota for family class.

hi
when do u expect MEDICALS for yourself

Can we get info as in how many applications were received by New Delhi Visa office?
Its more practical way.

Secondly the target of 7500 is no of files or no of applicants???
For eg lets assume that New Delhi got 1000 applications out of the 15000 applications CIC received than if we consider 3.5 persons per family than that is 3500 visas...

So in short we are a car which has no driver or rather the driver is sleeping...

I have decided to give temperory visa a try, go to Canada and marry.
Guys wish me luck!!!!!

but i have heard that tens of thousands of people go to canada on temporary visa and never come back.
ie, within 3 months of landing, they hire a lawyer, get a job, become legal, marry and then become resident.
i think they are more smart than us to have not wasted so much time, energy and money that we have wasted, waiting for PR visa, and still there is no hope of VISA even coming towards us

They just slow down the procedure. Secondly 'm waiting for 1st july n hoping that date will bring some good news for us as well as applicants before MI 1. Don't be disheartened. Take a chill pill man. Never forget to live ur life at its most. We should not forget to enjoy life wherever we are. Look at my details and wish me happy birthday coz its my 2nd AOR anniversary today n still RBVO. Love life.......God bless!
