I am commited. My boyfriend's is in Canada on student visa and he's the biggest reason for application.

Am not looking for a job in Canada.I have a very good one in India considering my qualification. I will stay there for some time and come back. The thing is that if i leave without proper formalities than i'll have to face financial losses(maybe something in between 1 to 2 lakh) and thats a big amount especially when u want to start a new life. Also my company has a branch in Canada. So i don't want to spoil relations with my bosses. I can get a transfer when I get PR(i don't want that cos it is in very remote location).

You cannot look for a job in Canada on temporary visa.

I too am expecting medicals in year end now and visa next summer.
We don't know how may applications ND received for Pre and Post june and as yukon said the quota is 7500(i think its no of visas and not files)so chances of us getting visa this year end are very slim.

Can we get info as in how many applications were received by New Delhi Visa office?
Its more practical way.

Secondly the target of 7500 is no of files or no of applicants???
For eg lets assume that New Delhi got 1000 applications out of the 15000 applications CIC received than if we consider 3.5 persons per family than that is 3500 visas...

So in short we are a car which has no driver or rather the driver is sleeping...


I have decided to give temperory visa a try, go to Canada and marry.

Their are statistics available on the CIC website as to how many applications were received at Visa Offices, need to search for it.
The target of 7500 Visas for 2011 is considered for primary applicants only, families are not included into this & are add-on visas. 3500 Visas that I guesstimated is for MI-1 applicants (between 28 Nov. 2008 & 26 June 2010) & SAP aaplicants (Simplified Application Process, pre 28 Feb. 2008 applicants).

CIO has received approx. 13000 applications in MI-2 (post 26 June 2010), so if you see the spreadsheet created by these applicants on the forum & extrapolate the numbers it comes to approx. 2500 for New Delhi. Considering their will be some rejections at Visa Office too, so this is a safe figure to arrive at in a worst case scenario.

7500 is the targeted figure that New Delhi Visa Office can issue as FSW Visas (primary applicants) in 2011, irrespective of the number of applications they are processing. They can end up issuing even more or less then this figure at the end of 2011.

i think that first you will get IN PROCESS with processing start dates and then u will get some reply from CHC ND.
unless u r very lucky like jassi_cool1980, who got MEDICALS in RBVO status or lucky like ssakal, who got MEDICALS in the status that u have currently, without any processing start dates

You got it all wrong !! See the link to the sheet I posted. 7500 is for New Delhi only in FSW cateogry. 55900 is total across all Visa Offices in FSW category only.
I have repeatedly menmtioned 7500 for NDVO only. Pls. see my last few posts !! OMG atleast read before commenting !!

Last year (2010) the 281,000 figure is across all categories, FSW, Family, Live in Caregivers, CEC, Quebec etc.
When I say 7500 considered for Primary applicants only, that means that 1 Visa is considered per application irrespective of the number of accompanying family members. For e.g.for a family of 4 (PA, spouse & 2 kids), when issued a Visa under any category, will be counted as 1 less from the quota & not 4.

for every one PA for family of 4. there will be 4 visa issued.
When it is said that Canada welcomed 2.75 immigrants than it is across all categories( no problem with that).
So you are saying that these 2.75 are only principle applicant and the real number is higher than that, around 10 lakh..

Do not disagree that 7500 is for FSW for ND. What I am saying that it is for FSW principle applicant and family.

For e.g. in 2009, in FSW Class, PA admitted (Visas issued) were 40,735 & their spouses & dependents at 55,227.

In 2009, PA admitted were 136529 against a total of 252179. So 115650 were spouses & dependents.

CHC ND processed around 10000 persons from which around 6000 got visas(this is individual) and for file they processed around 4000 cases out of which 2000 got visa.

So 7500 seems for total number in FSW category rather than PA. Number of applicant will be around 3000.

I wish I am wrong and you are right.
If that is the case than all of us would get visa soon.

But 7500 visa for FSW category is for PA and their family rather than just the PA itself.
This is what I deducted form this data and also ur link.
