I did call the IRCC in canada, they said, they can't see anything once the file is transferred to a different VO . I will definitely do the GCMS after 28th Jan, as that would mark 10 months. They don't appear to be diligent and fast pace workers.

NDVO and its staff were a bit rattled for a while by both the Canada and India diplomatic tensions that started in Oct 2023. Guess they are coming back on track right now. So we will see how it goes.
IDK... Why should they be delaying the immigration things. Why hamper common people's family union.
Our file was also transferred to NDVO office on Nov, 2024. How much of a wait time should we realistically be prepared for? Also, is this step the penultimate prior to passport stamping or are there any more steps left after this? I am also thinking of applying for Visitor visa while we await.
Whats your Time line ? I am not sure of the wait time, Its different for everyone. I have been waiting for 4 months since my file got transfered. If you are tracking the application, also keep checking yor info in the tracker.

To some degree they have a tendency to send files to Delhi when they want more local expertise on some aspects of marriage - but that's not certain, it could just be routine.
What was the question about the marital status? Was it an arranged marriage?
my sponsor, my husband, had a divorce but we got our divorce decree after our marriage, so I had to justify our marriage, they had a marriage dissolution agreement, before our marriage, but that is not enough I guess, so I send a final divorce decree and explanation of situation.
For outland application....does all files goes to the VO of the Principal Applicant country of origin?
Did you get a PFL? Yes this situation could be very problematic.
Typically to be valid a marriage must be concluded after both parties are no longer married to anyone else.
Whether this marriage dissolution agreement beforehand changes that, I don't know. If this was done in Canada it would not be considered a valid marriage (as far as I'm aware).
We could guess that the file could have been sent to clarify whether this is a valid marriage under Indian law (I'm assuming India here).
I don't know what you provided. My gut response would be that only an Indian lawyer's opinion would be convincing.
