If the letter didn't include any information about an interview, transferring to a local office doesn't automatically means an interview is called.

Just wait for the next step.
Suppose they tell about interview, What docments to carry? Should we carry evevrything that is submitted online, take as hard copy printouts ? Asking because just in case they ask to schedule an interview. its been 2 months since medical cleared, no update yet. No update on status tracker too.

Don't over think. It's normal to have no update for months in between processes. Background check usually takes the longest time and they don't contact PA for that.

What kind of background check they do, what do they check ? After seeing many people's timeline in youtube, i think it takes like 2-3 months min and in some cases 8 months. Is the Application Tracker working fine ? cause its updated till biometric and the PPR courier fees but not updated the cleared medical. I have to check status using GC key and the Application Tracker too every few days.

No idea. My spouse’s file has been stuck on Eligibility since October 2023. Applied on May 2023. File moved to Delhi Visa Office on October and there has been no update since then.

Are you still waiting? Or you got any update?

Anyone got update about their Spouse visa case? It looks like people are waiting for more than a year.

April 2023 applicant here. Our file was transferred to NDVO on Sept 2023. Yesterday we got re-medical exam request and today (12th Dec 2024) received pre-arrival letter. Our overall timeline is approaching 20 months now. So yeah, expect a wait. Keep yourself busy. If you recently applied for Spousal PR, try to get your spouse in Canada through Visitor Visa (ask for 1-2 months visit max). Then wait. Be patient.

Yes , the medical is 1 year valid and autometically have to do it again if 12 months pass. This is stupid though. Also, do people have to do the Police verification again ? is that valid for a year ? 20 Months!!! i am scared now... but some cases they taking 6 months!!! why the delay.

They did not ask for another police verification in our application. And yes, some take 4-6 months and some go over 20 months, unfortunately.

not really. one issue was in data entry (close to the AOR phase) when they entered sponsor's Canadian address wrong into their system and we had request them to correct it. some are still not corrected properly internally but we left it alone now, as it doesn't hurt the application (just one word is misspelled in address)

Does requesting to correct delay the application ? I saw mistake after it was transfered to new VO. Sponsor is wife(spouse) so sponsor relationship initially it was correct i.e "Spouse", but after the file transfer to new VO, the sponsor relationship changed to Other. I've requested it to be corrected. 2 weeks no update.

It could delay a little bit. As long as you have requested it to be corrected, when they finally open your application, they will go through and update it. If you want you could call IRCC call center and ask them to cross check (if they can) if it has been corrected.

The only way to contact the IRCC is thorugh the Web Form, no phone number. I did send them the web form. its been 1 month since i sent web form, and 1 month remaining to become 10 months since i submitted the application and no update yet. I guess the only slowest VO is New Delhi VO. they changed VO to ND 4 months ago. Its really building anxiety, how come some ppl get passport request in 6 months n why ours taking so much longer, beats me. Kinda Frustrated,

Did you apply for GCMS? And you could contact IRCC call centers and ask them if the information is entered correctly. IRCC call centers operate from within Canada.

NDVO takes months to respond to webform requests nowadays or sometimes they never do. But again, try IRCC call centers and ask what they see in your application now.
