Patience is the 'Key' talon. If everybody got PR within a month of applying, it would not be worth it. .

File Transfer to NY is a good news and shows progress being made on your file. Please check your e-cas status after two weeks. Have you applied for CAIPS report? I recommend you apply for it so that you know the current snapshot status of your file.

i will never trust the CAIPS. i applied for CAIPS for 4 times i got the same notes again and again. i even tried contacting the CAIPS office but i didn't get a proper reply. so i wouldn't trust CAIPS notes..

did you find entries in your CAIPS different than your file status? Did you apply CAIPS 4 times through the same agency or through a different one?

When I received CAIPS, I found the entries to be true. If any entry said, "Sent Email on XX-XX-XXXX', I did receive email on the same day.

My BFD date on in CAIPS notes is 22 January 2012. Dont know how/why?

I guess that's because they give 90 days after transferring. Yours got transferred on Oct 14; therefore, 22 Jan. 2012 is almost 3 months after transferring. (they added one week for new year holiday) This CAIPS note may not be the real time, people whose file transferred on Oct.26th 2011 may have their BFD date on Feb 2012, but they get MR on Nov. 2011.

Its already 5 December, things are really going to slow down from 20 December to 10 January and annual visa quotas for missions expire on 31 December. Hope there will be wider window in 2012. Sincerely wish we get X-mas or New Year gift soon.

Yes, I agree. I feel bad too. Our cases has been transferred to NY office for nearly 2 months (50 days, actually) but hear nothing. Many people got MR in 30 or even 20 days. My case is simple, too. I got my Master Degree in the United States, and I've been here for 3 years. My points should be 67-71, depends on language points. I submitted all the required documents and many additional support documents. Do you think we should send application status inquire to New York office by email? I guess we may receive the standard-mode reply saying that "Your file is in the queue for review, please be patient, blablablabla..."

My attorney told me that I could get MR anytime recently, but they cannot provide a specific date.

Eliza, I see your file was transferred to NY on 19-Oct-2011. What does your e-cas status say? Does it say a date when VO started processing your file? I believe we should really be counting number of days from the day it said 'We have reviewed your file and we have started processing on xx-xx-xxxx'. What do you think?

Thank you for replying. My e-case is still In process with RBVO detail, from March 2011. Nothing change recently, no specific start-process date.

Yes, I saw most people got online status updated before receiving MR. That's why I feel so bad. Krae is the only one I saw got MR without online updated and processing date. That gave me a little hope. But still no MR now.

Don't be worry DestCan, you will get better luck than us. I think vermas, I and a few others are just special cases. Most people get MR in 30 days after transferring

I have submitted application in feb 2010 to novascotia and to buffalo in may 2010. still i have nt received any hopeful answer from Buffalo VO. When i emailed last time , i got reply" Buffalo vo can not process your application right now. " they process application in 2012. So 2012 means starting 2012!!!
I hope will get some good news soon
I have not sublitted IELTS score...should i ? or let them ask.

If you can submit IELTS score, that would only help you to cut down a few months of file processing time. If later they ask you, that will only delay your file. Be proactive and invest in providing them IELTS score.

Eliza, It is strange. It should not take that long. Definitely order CAIPS asap. Seniors on this forum can help you with more information.

recently, I think last week on Dec 2nd, online status changed to " decision made" but I am waiting for passport back from NY.

Has anybody has same experience? How long it generally takes to get the passport back from NY after online status change to "decision made" ?
