rojiv94 260,000 to 285,000 are the total number of possible immigrants for this year to be considered by CIC, this number includes all classes but out of this total number FSW candidates would be only 51000 in number, hence i said "top few" taking in consideration only the FSW candidates in the EE pool.

Ok Friend. Then it will be "they are among the top scoring 51000 FSW candidates" :)

51000 FSW candidates don't necessarily mean 51000 ITAs. It includes accompanying family members too. So it could very well be as low as 20000

you have a point here m-dewan33 .. this angle needs to be probed into ... whether the accompanying spouse/family member along with the FSW candidates are also a part of this quota of 51000. +1 to u for this!

No. Accompanying family members is not part of the FSW quota 51000.
You can find this from 2014 FSW process

Have a look at the numbers from 2014. The numbers admitted were 47300 even though we know the cap for FSW was set at 25000.

Here they state that just around 11500 applications out of 25000 were received by CIC for FSW program in 2014.

Do you think it could be true that there were not enought applicants last year?

Yes, 2014 information is right.
This year also, 2015 expecting there will be not enough applicants to reach the quota
So almost all applicants in the EE pool will get ITA for 2015.

Correction: Planned FSW applicants don't include Spouse and Dependants.

Most of CEC people have scores in 400-500 range. This is because people applying for CEC get 100 extra points for Canadian experience.

Most of FSW candidates (without LMIA/PNP) have scores in 300-400 range.

Once the CEC cap fills, the score "may" come below 400.

No they don't. The points for Canadian experience ranges from a minimum of 35 to a maximum of 80.

You cannot apply any mathematics to this as its all random probabilities (maybe some statistics but we don't have enough data)

Fingers cross and pray or try and do something to improve your CRS score... No point wasting time doing any other things...
