Definitely wishful thinking, I think Canada needs immigrants who are likely to succeed when they get here not some immigrant who will need some assistance from welfare services. There are lots of company cutting jobs already . Here in Alberta, recession is looming because the oil industry is down (Blame the Middle East). That means lots of Canadians and immigrants out of work. I think Canada don't need another jobless immigrant. It's the truth and it hurts.

The problem is not exactly "too many people too few jobs", it's also people (Canadian & TFW) not willing to work on blue collar jobs and not willing to relocate for a job. Trade jobs have been highly demanded in many industrial towns/cities. Even fresh journeymen trade jobs are better paid than many intermediate-level office jobs. Nowadays few people goes to trade school, everyone wants to go to university, get a office job and sit comfortably. Doesn't work anymore.

That's not the case here. We have trades people flocking alberta from the east and the maritimes. Too bad companies are laying off.

There will be minimum two draws on March and candidates with score 320+ will get an ITA this month.
Fifth draw cutoff will be around 350 and Sixth draw it will down to 320.
Within three months score will drop to 285. Further drop seems a little difficult for FSW candidates.
Please share your thoughts.

Too much optimism is bad.....they way you have forecasted implies over the next few draws even someone with 150 points will receive an ITA

Due to dip in gas prices, Canada present economic condition becomes worst. This is why till now CIC not issuing ITA to any candidates not having job offer or PNP.

Please share your thoughts.

I think it's too good to be true. The most I expect is that the score may go down below 500 (and even that is optimistic). Judging by the spreadsheet (and common sense), there's a <i>lot</i> of people in the 350-450 range.

This not a race only top one or two candidates will get the trophy.
CIC is planing to issue more than a lakh ITA's. So majority of applicants will get ITA.
To achieve that cutoff score must come down below 300

But I disagree because . Your are having 20 draws by Jun. Why would CIC conduct draws at such a rapid pace?

You progress on No of ITA's is way to steep.

They've done four draws in the first two months. The maximum number of draws is 25. So now we can reasonably expect a draw every other week until Christmas. There will probably be only one draw in December because of the holidays.

I think you got it spot on in terms of the minimum rank and the number of ITAs to be issued. The only issue is that there will only be two draws every month and probably one in December. The third draw was a correction draw and so technically there were only two draws in February.

320 is too low a score, I for one don't think the score will be lower than 400 the first half of 2015.
Reasoning behind that is:

• There are supposed to be quite a few people with LMIAs applying under the FST category that barely have over ~720 points.
• There are people with LMIAs that found out about EE a few weeks into 2015 and were busy gathering mandatory documents (like taking the IELTS or CELPIP) but will create their profiles in time for the next draws; I hope it's not indicative of Canada as a whole but more than half of the people with LMIAs in my company are in this case.
• There are people who applied for their LMIAs late 2014 or early 2015 and will be receiving them in the next months.
• Once the threshold goes below 550 you will see a lot more competition as many more people are in this situation compared to people with LMIAs. So even a few points will be making a difference. I expect draws to be very tight, as in the gap between min score of current draw and min score of past draw being very small.

And let's not forget the 46,000 PNP quota Depending on when these programs kick off and whether they give points in Express Entry, we could even see the scores go back up.

LMIA is a very small number 5000 at best. The number of people between 735 and 600 isn't going to be a lot. Just not how it works. That being said 320 score is too low. I am not sure if that score is ever gonna get picked. Anyone below 300 should simply look at improving their scores, there is no way they are going to get picked.
