I went through the same thing, I started looking for jobs in Mexico City (I come from a smaller city far away in Mexico) but I just couldn't take it anymore... anyways, after 3 or 4 days of breathing deeply, I decided not to give up, enjoy the summer and "keep smiling" !

Cic had embarked on a system upgrade since last year 4rm d CAIPs system to d New GCMS System which ll b compactible with d new i-tech form.they had stated march 2011 as d time that all cic offices would av switchd but they are obviosly bhind that schedule nw cos some of them are just changing yl others are stil waiting

Hi Folks
I just discovered that I’ve made a mistake when I was filling my Federal application. The mistake is on the ANNEXE 1 ANTECEDENTS/DECLARATION” form especially on the question 9 (page 1 of the form).
Is it possible to let buffalo know about it and change that error by introducing a new page 1 of the ANNEXE 1 ANTECEDENTS/DECLARATION?
By the way I see something about “Case Specific e-mail Enquiry” on buffalo website . There is a Form (electronic) available for applicant who wish to report important changes regarding their application.
What do you think about my case? Can I use the “Case Specific e-mail enquiry” for that?

Please help.

No , ittech . I know nobody in Buffalo CIC .
We know about the new system because they mention it in email replies , their website etc ...
Although I have hard time believing that this new system will make a big difference , I just hope it to be at least better than the previous one. For example , if it can automate notifications , that would be great .... Like , instead of asking for CAIPS, I prefer getting that information in my email box automatically. That can be done , indeed in IT that kinda thing is a piece of cake. It can relieve the applicant from getting frustrated with the postal delays , and waiting without a sign that anything is going on.
It can also diminish the volume of communication that people send to Buffalo out of frustration. For example , if I knew my BF date. I would quietly wait for that day. If I could know that my cheque was cached (or at least received and tied to my file) , that would be a big relief . To Buffalo that would cost a single click of a button or just a checkbox, combobox ......(you pick your flavor) , and save them from having to read and reply to my email . To me that would save ton of indefinite waiting , frustrations and a bunch of unanswered emails.

Question is : "Will they be this generous to get such a system ?"
