Hello,

Thanks for your inputs in this forum. Your information are very helpful.

I have question:

1- Can I leave Canada while PR is being processed? ( I have multiple visa for 1.5 year and currently I'm student, my study program is expected to finish on 2013)

finally got a reply from Buffalo... plz see below.
"Due to the volume of applications and processing issues beyond the control of this office, processing times may be longer than those listed on the CIC website.

We cannot provide a precise estimate of when the processing of your application will be completed. We can only assure you that we will contact you when we require information from you or have information to share.
"

An advice for all: if you're status is schedule to end soon... prepare everything and be ready to send it off at least 2 days prior to the expiry of current one
You can do so online if the strike is confirmed w/ Canada Post or by mail otherwise.

Mine is correct. Thanks for your effort. You're really making this thread active and alive.

I have a question for you.

Does Quebec government restrict freedom of mobility to its new immigrants?

I might have to move to Toronto right after getting PR.

My lawyer says there won't be any problem, but I heard some people saying Quebec government can revoke PR of those who moved to other province with Quebec PR status.

Do you know anything about this?

I don't think Quebec government can do that. They don't even have the time and the money to process all the CSQ applications correctly. So to tail all the new PR in their territory...

This is a privacy question, and Quebec has no right to revoke PR, they selection ''their'' immigrants, that's all...

Hey everyone,

I just got an email about my medical request sent on 30 March 2011 to my old address. Now they will send it to my new address. Another month wasted on stupid mistake.

Also they told me my file number is EP0000xxxx, does anyone knows about this file number format ?

Thanks. I also googled about this information, and found out that provincial government cannot restrict mobility right.
