Very similar!! Find your local Member of Parliament in Canada to call them for you, that is what I did. Go talk to them, I found that helpful.
Yes it is very stressful, I have seen applicants after me who got their DM. The worse part they do not update my file it gives me more stress.

Go on google to find out who is your local MP, you will get their number then call them
ex for me I live in Gatineau I typed "Gatineau MP " then I got their contact

My husbands was in progress for 8 months. Total processing time was 1 month and 5 days!! Dont get your hopes up too high although things do happen!
