Hi all, update. Just received a request to PAY for biometrics. Email says to just pay and request to complete biometrics will come at a later date. However, there is an application number now but no AOR yet.

I just checked on ECAS and I am able to see the status of my application as Received for both Sponsor and Applicant. Although my address is completely wrong.

I submitted a form to correct my address and called CIC. The agent told that they are still opening files received on Jan 9 for outland.

I tried linking the application to my account but was unsuccessful.

I believe that's is sign of AOR. Your application is complete. be happy.

Is there any difference between information on Gckey and ecas? Do we use both or just one?

Not much difference really but sometimes one gets updated earlier than the other. Or when they do not send an email that you expected but you can see on ECAS that application has moved further or status has changed. So keep checking on both.

G CKEY is most important though ecas is also some time updates you. but both are not synchronized each other. you will get updated some time first on ecas then on gceky. but don't lose your gckey.

You might want to edit this and mask your address even though you state its wrong I'm sure it's close. These messages are here for years.

Hmm that's a first I've seen. Either way that's good. Your aor date is the date received once you've successfully logged into GC KEY or ECAS

Thank you for the suggestion but I live in one end of Canada not even remotely close to Ontario state.

I love that they started processing our application on Valentine's day, lol.
It was received the 5th, just got AOR1 today.
