Hey everyone, I am new to this so I am not sure of all the correct terms and procedures.
But I think my wife's application is going okay.

Application Received = Fed 21, 2017
AOR1 = March 09, 2017
SA = March 13, 2017
Police Certificate Request = March 15, 2017
AOR2 = March 20, 2017
ECAS IP = March 21, 2017
Proof of Return to Canada Requested = March 27, 2017
Proof of Relationship Requested = June 7, 2017
Medical Requested = July 25, 2017
Medical Exam = July 27, 2017
Medical Passed = July 28, 2017

Just wondering what will be the next steps? Any information is greatly appreciated.

Also, my wife had a Canadian student VISA in 2011 and currently has a 10 year Canada Tourist VISA since 2014, so she already had to go for an interview and bio-metrics at the Canadian embassy in 2014 to get it. So I wonder if that will positively affect the processing of her application.

Similar timeline. But my background check still not yet started

did you ever get transferred to Ottawa?
I also have a similar timeline but I've STILL yet to be transferred..

Hello all,

Today I noticed that my ecas status has changed to decision made but my gc key account show background check in progess and eligibility review in progess :/

How should I check whether they have accepted or rejected?

Your GC key won't change until you have submitted everything for your PPR and they have sent back your landing documents. Unless you were asked for supporting docs are more relationship proof during the process you are more than likely approved for PR. Don't stress out about it too much, I am sure they would give you a chance to correct or explain what ever concerned them to refuse it. In about 10- 15 days the applicant should receive the PPR email. Make sure you check your spam folders and it will probably be in the evening. Congrats!

Our timeline is kind of similar. Medical finished mid-July, waiting for next step (originally received by CIC Feb 1). Not sure if it makes a difference whether they've checked before - my husband has provided his biometrics before to CIC as well and they have done background checks for visitor visa applications too. Anyway, wishing us Godspeed.

hello everyone,
We got the "passport dispatched" text message today (August 14th). Got PPR on August 7th and submitted Passport on August 8th. I'm a Feb. 28th applicant. Good luck to everyone else waiting. Also to whoever updating the spreadsheet...I wanted to tell you that my info. is already added with the name "harbinder." Spreadsheet didn't let me update it. :)

FYI - Complete process took almost 6 months

PS: Thank you to all the amazing people on this forum for continuous support.

Hey,

Can anyone post the full form of the abbreviations please? Such as AOR 1 and 2, SA, ECAS IP and BCIP.

I've also emailed my MP regarding the application a week ago with no response. Whats their typical response time, and when would it be appropriate to email him again.

Thanks!

When did you sunk it your application? Usually MPs aren't too concerned about it until it's well past the average wait time. This is my understanding but someone could correct me on this. Currently both inland and outland are saying it could take 12 months.

But I also would suspect that different MPs will have varying response times back. So someone else may or may not have the same experience. A call to the office never hurts either.

Hey there,

MPs normally respond within 48 hours
My MP is very keen on getting updates on our application, her office calls IRCC every month for an update :)
