What VO and were you common law? spousal? Did they say why they wanted to do an interview?

Kingston visa office spousal... No they didn't say as to why . Only passport, passport photos and receipt showing paid $490

Hi, did they indicate why they are conducting an interview in the next coming months? Sept. is a long wait I believe and if you'll be sending your passport now, does that mean that they will hold on to it until sept.?

Passport should be brought in on the day of the interview...Quite a few ppl from January are getting September interview dates dnt know why

is there any kind person who would take initiative to fix the spreadsheet ..its so mess ..can't track anything from it .. :(

I had been having trouble accessing the threat but here are some updates

Application was received Feb 28, 2017

Sponsor (myself) approved mid March and also request for Schedule A and PC were in mid March

We sent in the PC and schedule A through IRCC webform on March 29th and no response, no emails, no online updates, nothing have happened since. I have called CIC multiple times and have gotten different answers. Last time, they told me to resend the documents through the webform ( I know others had mentioned faxing and mailing the documents again after they didn't hear anything). So I did resend the documents again through the webform and called CIC again today.

The Gentleman on the phone from CIC was VERY helpful and very knowledgeable. He basically told me:

There is a major backlog as most people have had issues uploading the documents in MyCIC and have used the webform. He quoted around 40,000 webform document submission in the past couple of months and says there is 1-2 months of backlog in receiving the documents. He emphasized several times that there is no need to resend documents as there is no way they would get lost in the IRCC webform and to basically just wait as only the first set of documents will be attached to the file.

I still see no progress on my online account, there is no confirmation that ANYTHING has been received, my application doesn't seem to have been transferred to any visa offices anywhere (based on the information from the call centre), and I am just waiting anxiously to hear SOMETHING.. yet the guy insisted I have done everything I should, should not worry, should not lose my peace and should just wait!

So I guess it is what it is right now.. Will update if anything changes or if I get any response!

In response to your timeline we are basically in the same situation. Our application was received on the 27th of Feb as well and we had no acknowledgement or anything that my husbands Police record and Schedule A were received. I emailed Manila Immigration Office, as that will be our prospective VO, and they replied back saying they received the documents. ECAS and myCIC still just show in progress. Below i have attached their response.
Fingers crossed for us all that the backlog will not affect us for too long. Good luck to us all!!

Hi, I received the exact email from manila when I asked them if they have our file. So after receiving that I was thinking that our file is already in Manila, but no update on anything. On May 1st, I received an email from cic saying that they received my schedule a and pcc that I sent through webform on March 27th. Then I phone cic last friday, and the agent told me that they have the schedule a and pcc but our file is still in mississauga. After almost 2 weeks, no changes at all.

oh wow, you actually got a response from CIC regarding the files you uploaded. I sent ours in on March 29. Maybe I will hear something soon!

Feb group is literally the worst. Our chat is twice as long as the Dec group. We can't properly function our own timeline. We ask the same questions over and over. It's hilarious. I bailed on our timeline too.

I totally ask the same question a few times, since I feel like it's always someone else on and it's not the easiest to find the answer. Plus someone else might be or has been in my situation and might be able to give some reflection on the topic. which not everyone goes back and reads.. but yeah i jumped ship!

Can anyone tell me how to land actually inland?

You have to do what is called 'flag poling' it's where you go to the nearest border crossing (maybe an airport also?) and you just say you're flag poling and they know what to do.. there threads on it here in the forums. Seems fairly straight forward.
