I sent my application on Feb 14 and they received it on February 16. Till date I did not hear anything about application. I called CIC today and I got hold of a very nice Rep. I told him the story. As I am a PR, he took my UCI number, date of birth address and all the other details. He told me that he is not able to see anything in the system. After that he said that he will be sending an inquiry to the MISSISAUGA visa office. He also took the Canada post tracking number and asked for the exact time when the mail got delivered. He said they will locate the file and will update the information in the system.

Hoping for the best. :'(

I'm considering quitting my job and leaving my apartment and staying in Kamloops with my wife until my PR is granted. I know that there is a chance I might not get my PR in time and I can apply for a visitor visa extension and if THAT is denied, I must return to the states until my PR is approved.

Anyone think the border will have a problem with that? Any others have experience with this matter?

Thanks!

Should I also ask for a visitor record to be given to me so that I have exact dates?

Dear friends
Please don't make any unwanted changes in spreadsheet
Just input detail only.

Hi Yoge, I asked last week if we could make the spreadsheet read-only and have a few admins with write access.
This way we can monitor the sub and add details when people request. This is how a number of these subs run their spreadsheet.

I spent hours last week fixing up the broken references of people attempting to sort, or people wanting to highlight their own application ( you continue to highlight your row in blue ).

I notice some changes yesterday which color coded the row by their application status.
When sorted by 'application sent' this gives a great indication of the progress of cic through February applicants.

Hi
I got my PR in september 2016, I went to canada for 20 days...came back on 13th october as my marriage was on 20th november.
I landed in toronto..came back..got married and my marriage certificate has address of toronto.
Is it possible that now i move to BC and sponsor my spouse from there or I have to sponsor him from toronto only?

I guess you're going to get better feedback in the 'Spousal sponsorship' thread

Hi All,

I was able to successfully link the application of my wife and have been asked to upload Schedule A and Police Certificates (Multiple) (required).

My wife never went out of country except our 5 days honeymoon in Dubai but they have asked for "Police Certificates (Multiple) (required)"

Not sure what to do for Police Certificates (Multiple) (required) except getting PCC from India knowing the fact that PCC is not required if the stay is not more than 6 months in 1 calendar year in a foreign land.

Any suggestion/help is appreciated.

Hello,
The PA is required to submit PCC from countries where they stayed for 6 months or more, no exception.

Hope this helps

I like the new colour scheme, it helps us see how applications are progressing. The problem is maintaining the row colours.
We have 51 people of varying technical ability editing the spreadsheet at any one time, of course it will be broken.

Today I received a request for police certificate + schedule a form :)
