This happened to me as well. I called them thrice. On the third time I got someone who informed me that my application was sent back to me (he had a note saying that there was a form that was either incomplete or missing).

My suggestion, call them again in a day or two, give them your Receipt number and ask them if its there or if the package is with them or is sent back, they should be able to locate it like they did mine.

Hope this helps you.
Agree. Just tried to call several times, you will find that different agent will have different answer. If you are lucky to talk to a good one ,he/she will give you a lot of information.

Visitor visa of my spouse got approved. She would be travelling to Canada in April. ;D ;D :D ;) :P

Great, Congrats!
I thought they don't approve. What reason did you provide and for how many months is it approved?

Still no request for police certificate or schedule A but just received a message requesting medical (lung x-ray and lab tests ).
Booked in for next week, the cost = £300!

Wow that's awesome!!! Congrats :)
I am planning to apply for Visitor visa for my spouse as well. I need your help, what reason did you provide and anything that I need to know before I apply? How many months got approved? How much bank balance you need to show them in financial wise? Can you apply for visitor visit on behalf of your spouse or your spouse need to apply for herself? I have so many questions like this. I would really appreciate if you could help me here.

Congrats again! :)

Hello All,

I have received a medical request today March 7, 2017 to be done in 30 days for my wife. I was guessing this will be followed by receiving SA letter or they have changed this procedure ?

Hello all!

We submitted our application on February 6th, 2017 (received on the 9th - text message confirmation) however, we haven't received an AOR yet! I looked at the spreadsheet for this group and see there are still some who submitted their applications around the same time as us, and have not yet received heir AORs either. Should I be expecting our application to be returned or should I continue waiting?

I'm freaking out just a little bit! :P

Thanks!!!

Ya I'm wondering as well. My wife's APP is linked, they requested Schedule A and Police Check (March 3) along with Medical (March 7), but still no SA for me.

Seems strange they would make PA go through Police Checks and Medical without approving
Sponsor. To me that's pretty nasty of CIC if there is a chance to not be SA and have the PA go through these procedures...

While that would seem strange to me because the point of changing those things was supposedly to speed up processing and also to prevent people from having to do new medical exams if theirs expired, at the same time doing medical and acquiring a police certificate prior to sponsor approval would be no different than how the vast majority of applicants were doing things prior to the new kit. Most of us acquired those things prior to submitting the application by doing upfront medical and getting the police certificate early.

What does MyCIC say for the Review of Eligibility section? My husband's sponsor approval e-mail did not show up via e-mail until quite a while after he got approved, but MyCIC had changed to show that the Review of Eligibility had started. When we finally got the e-mail, we had gotten SA the same day we noticed that change.

All this does in my mind is show how absolutely stupid it is that new applicants cannot just provide all those things upfront as they were before. They're being asked for so early in the process they might as well have been in the packet, without the frustration of having to deal with doing them on the fly. It was much easier to do it all and then sit back and wait.

I got SA yesterday for dependent child , waiting for imm5669 request. If I don't submit the schedule A, they won't transfer to the VO.

Exactly my point, but I would like to think of it as a positive sign. I mean there are some cases where the whole application was completed under 4 months.

@Db1980 Can you tell me your situation. Do you have a child with your spouse ? Is your marriage already 1 years old or have you been living together for that long ?

Thanks

Review of eligibility Your application is in progress. The next step is to review your eligibility.

Review of eligibility changed to this today, the same thing me my wife got requested to do a medical.

I'm not to worried other then that we have a flight booked for April 3 and my wife is planning on landing as "dual intent". From what I read it's best the Sponsor is Approved to do this. I the Sponsor have a job waiting for me to start April 4.

And yes, doing Medical and Police Checks in 30 days is stressful specially with April 3 just around the corner.
Schedule A has been uploaded and just waiting for Police Certificates from Sweden and Netherlands along with getting medical done in CPH in the next couple weeks. Add in a 6 month or and busy 3 1/2 year old to take care of...haha.

Hi Eng_ Mtl:

We have 2 children, been married since 2009, lived together since 2007 and been together since 2005. I have a Job waiting for me with my fathers company where finances are not of a concern and my wife will more then likely be a stay at home mom with no need to work in the future unless she decides to.

Ok so I see a pattern here, I am also married more than a year with have one child together. I am living with my wife during this time and now going to return to my previous job as before I left Canada.
