Thank you, I have updated with my info.

I find it strange that it's taking so long to receive my AOR email. I have got confirmation from Canada post that the cic office in mississauga received my package on February 2nd. I have tried calling to speak to an agent but I always get the "we are receiving a high volume of calls" and it ends with that.

Can any one can advice if there are any other options available to me?

The help is much appreciated :)

Hey majesty,

So once i get the SA it means that they accept my application

Thank you

Once you get SA, that means that you passed the first part of the application (the sponsor is approved). Then they will be looking at the principal applicant and determining if he/she meets the criteria, as well as reviewing whether your relationship is genuine. That will be done at a Visa Office outside of Canada.

The letter I got from CIC said that you must link your application to your account within 7 days. If you got your AOR1 on Jan 10, then that is past the 7 days. CIC said they would send you a letter saying that you would then receive correspondences by snail mail.

Did you get a letter from them?

If you can't link your application, you can still check your status electronically through eCAS.

However, through eCAS, they don't provide updates as fast and I don't think you can upload documents from here if CIC requests you to send them something.

Here's the link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/my_application/status.asp

Our application got delivered today . hope it doesnt get returned as they r doing so even if the package is complete .. . so wanna join this thread ..

just to clarify, AOR1 is the email that says that CIC has received the application and to link your application - right?

Do you have to show proof of working at each place you list in your application?

No i dont think so .. they only require the employment letter from your current ongoing employers .. and we provided the same ..
