Re: FEBRUARY 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS - New Medical Report

Wife got an email from VO HK yesterday asking for medical report. She did that late last November, and the PR status also showed they have received the medical result.

I am not sure why they asked for a new one while the previous one is still valid. Do you guys run into same problem?

So frustrated! The new one costs both time and money.

My bro jameslong ...i know how you feel, but in must tell you,the best thing to do now is to tell wifey to go and re-do the medical..
Because we have no option than to follow CIC instruction...
I have heard a news if people after resending there new medical request they get ppr immediately..
Remember if CIC send you ppr now, your medical will not stand it unless they extend it...
So bro don't be discouraged just tell wife to do it and send as fast as possible...
Your ppr will be your next request ...
Have faith bro . be patient OK
We are all in the same race OK
Best of luck
#Tim

Jameslong I was asked to retake my medical exams again and passport at the same time. Don't get discourage, you could get your PPR after you send them. Good Luck!

I spoke with our MP yesterday - they said not to expect anything until the 13 Months are up (our processing time jumped fro 10 months to 13 months a couple of weeks ago) and that the Officer hasnt even started on our file yet.
We are thinking of having my husband apply for a visitor visa - because this is getting rediculous. So if anyone has any advise as to how to successfully apply for a TRV during spousal sponsorship - especially when my husband has minimal ties to his home country - we would appreciate it!

Jameslong.

Might be a good thing as others have mentioned. I don't think IRCC has enough time to issue visa between now and expiry of medical? Have you ordered GCMS notes to see their comments on your application?

Sort of related update. Finished interview two days ago. Think it was a positive result but never know until PPR. The officer asked me questions about a remedical too. Our medical expires in JAnuary 2017 so the officer was concerned about our flexibility with having to land before medical expires.

So I think asking for remedical may be a good thing. They are processing your file.

My wife applied for TVR a couple of months back and was rejected because:
- family ties in Canada
- purpose of visit
- employment prospects in country of residence
- current employement
- personal assets and financial status

Not saying it is impossible but it is tough. Others have had success and we thought it would be worth a try.
