Just a quick question:

For our PPR, since PA is from a visa-exempt country they asked for:

1) Printed photocopies of the entire passport valid for international travel for yourself and for each member of your family who will be accompanying you to Canada.

And then a note saying:

If you wish to use a courier service for return of your passport or documentation, you must provide a pre-paid, pre-addressed courier airwaybill when you send your passport. We will advise you when your visa is ready so you can contact your courier with pick up instructions. You should record the airwaybill number that you provided for return delivery so that you may track the delivery yourself. We will not contact courier companies on your behalf.

We don't really care about getting photocopies of the passport back, but would the courier service be referring to the COPR letter as well?
I just heard it's a bit difficult to coordinate courier service pick up at the Rome Office, so just wondering if it's even necessary to send one for some photocopies, but if it's for the COPR then we'd definitely try to courier it.

Any help is appreciated!

They won't send you the photocopies back. It's for the CoPR. You need to do this.

Hello February team,
Hope you're all doing great! Congrats to those with PPR, COPR and DMs
An update of our case: We're extremely happy today we received an email asking for:

-Proof of payment for background verification certificate for Colombia.
-Notarized copy of the Marriage Certificate between you and your sponsor from the “Notaria” where it is registered.
-Four (4) photographs of the applicant, passport size 50 mm x 70 mm (2 inches wide x 2 3/4 inches long) and white background .
-Updated SCHEDULE A - Background / Declaration form completed since your 18th birthday.

We didn't receive a request of my expired medical exams, don't know if they will ask for them later on or what, so far with what they are asking is all good.

Hey guys,

Over 2 months now and still no PR card. (~ 9 weeks?) If I remember correctly the lady at the border told me 4-6 weeks, but how long can I really expect it to take?

Not sure why as the processing times posted online have decreased since we did our landing (from 58 days to 54 days now). I suppose that this is an average though, so we can expect it to take longer perhaps.

Lol, the guy at the border when I landed a week or so ago told me "anywhere from 3-6 months". CBSA agents usually have no idea how long it really takes.

I got the same information as jwnmm... The CBSA Officer told us 4-6 weeks as well, but hinted that it may be longer (8 weeks) and that we should not be surprised.

From what I've seen on this site, if any of us get our PR cards in under 2 months, that would be lucky. The processing time on the website is just under 2 months, but for many people it takes much longer. I think you might have had some officers that were much more optimistic than the one I dealt with :P (who wasn't pleasant to deal with anyways).

I certainly will be happy as we are travelling out of the country (back to Poland) next week.

Luckily my roommate will be home while we are away so if the PR card arrives he can UPS it to us right away. We already aren't expecting it to arrive before we leave :)

Someone in the PR card waiting thread just posted this:

Landed May 9 2016. Got PR card today (July 14 2016). Card was mailed July 4, 2016

Nice, right around the processing time. I do hope that that's a consistent timeframe right now.
